A new Sleep profile. Choose 4-7-8 breathing, a masking noise, or the breathing with the noise already running underneath it - picking a second profile after the breathing would only wake you up again. Pink, brown or white noise, five minutes to two hours, fading out at the end so the silence does not wake you either. The noise is generated on your phone rather than streamed, it keeps playing with the screen locked, and the loop has no seam to hear. Pink is the one to use from a phone speaker. Brown is worth it on a real speaker - it lives below 250 Hz, where a phone gives almost nothing. Sauna calories now use the heart rate your watch is already sending, so the watch and the phone finally show the same number.

Timers no longer stop when the screen goes dark. A session now counts real time, not the seconds your phone stayed awake - twenty minutes in the cold is twenty minutes, whatever the screen was doing. The summary carries more of the session: sauna temperature, the breathing plan you used, and the heart rate change of each part in combined sessions. It is built to be shared. Start a session here and your Garmin watch follows it: the same profile, the same clock, your pulse and temperature. Nothing is recorded twice. Needs the Breath and Plunge PRO watch app, version 2.1. Settings now end with the version number.

The Garmin link is here. Sessions you record on your watch now appear in the app by themselves, with nothing to press and no settings to open. While a session runs in the app, your watch sends heart rate and water temperature live. Your last 30 watch sessions stay on the watch until the app confirms each one, so a closed app no longer loses a session. Needs the Breath and Plunge PRO watch app from the Connect IQ store.

Four guided breathing patterns: Box 4-4-4-4, Relax 4-7-8, Calm 5-5, and a custom rhythm you set yourself. A soft chime and a vibration mark every phase, so you can practise with your eyes closed. Pause and resume any session; the cycle counter stays in view. A prep countdown before you start, and 1-second steps for the shorter settings.
