In this update: keep editing while your song plays, smoother AUv3 plugins, swipe to turn a note off, and a batch of fixes. NEW - Swipe a step to the right to turn its note off. Swipe it again to bring the note back. - Keep editing while your song plays: add, duplicate, move or delete tracks, change instrument types and load presets without audio dropouts. New tracks fade in and deleted ones fade out. IMPROVED - AUv3 plugins load without interrupting playback. The rest of the song keeps going and the plugin fades in once it has loaded. When you switch an instrument to a plugin, the old sound keeps playing until the plugin is ready. FIXED - Undo and other changes made while a song plays no longer pop. AUv3 plugins keep playing through them, keep the settings you changed in the plugin's own screen, and never go silent afterwards. - One plugin instrument used on several tracks now behaves as one instrument. - Undoing a change made in the FX editor no longer pauses or restarts playback. - Removing a phrase from the grid while the song plays now stops its note instead of leaving it ringing until you press Stop. - Plugin instruments that stopped working after your phone was locked (silent, and their window would not open) now reload automatically with their settings when you return to the app. - Turning an AUv3 instrument’s Built-in Filter on or off no longer causes a pop or a gap in the sound, and no longer resets the plugin’s settings. - Exported audio now includes the Built-in Filter on AUv3 instruments. - Editing the modulation on one AUv3 instrument no longer changes the modulation of other AUv3 instruments. - Fixed a freeze that could close the app after collapsing and then expanding a section on the Song page. - Fixed a rare case where, after the app closed unexpectedly, Save could write your song over a different song file. If the app can’t be sure which file your song belongs to, only Save As is offered.

In this update: free-form select, FX editing across a whole selection at once, small ui improvements, and a batch of fixes. NEW - Free Select: selections no longer have to be rectangles. Tap "Free" in the selection menu, then tap any cells to add or remove them one by one, or hold a cell for a moment and drag to sweep up several at once. - Edit FX values across a whole selection at once. IMPROVED - The FX list now keeps last scroll position instead of jumping to the top every time. - UI enhancement: knobs, buttons and panels updated. FIXED - The ARP command now works the way arpeggios do in classic trackers: it bends the pitch of the playing note instead of restarting it — so pads and long samples arpeggiate smoothly instead of stuttering — and notes held past an ARP row now return to their original pitch instead of staying stuck on the last arpeggio step. - The Subtle visual feedback setting now actually shows the same on-beat flashes as full, just dimmer, instead of doing nothing. - Level meters now respond almost instantly instead of trailing the sound. - Removing the last target from a sidechain routing no longer crashes the app.

The first update since launch — new sidechain controls, a big batch of table improvements, and several fixes. There is also a new in-depth walkthrough video, linked at the end of the tutorial and in Settings. NEW - Sidechain Trigger mode added: each hit of the source fires one clean duck that recovers at the speed you set with the release knob - Sidechain threshold knob: control how loud the source needs to be before the target ducks. - Table HOP can now repeat a set number of times instead of only looping forever. - Table speed UI improved and range increased. - After an update, a short "What's New" summary appears one time. Bring it back any time from Settings, under About. - "Show Touches" option in Settings. Useful for screen recording walkthrough videos such as the new one that coincidentally uses that feature. IMPROVED - UI for BPM and Swing can now be opened by tapping either value. More intuitive, easier to use than the original scrub-only implementation. - Rename instruments and tables by tapping their name — no need to save a preset just to name an instrument. - New Song now starts you on a blank canvas. - The app now says "phrase" everywhere for consistency. Some screens used to say "pattern." FIXED - Tables now stay locked to the beat. A table set to advance one row per step used to drift slowly out of time and snap back each time the phrase looped. - Table speeds above 6 now work. - More table fixes: a chance roll on the last row no longer ends the table early, a row holding only a HOP no longer blips the pitch on the way past, two HOPs on the same row now take turns properly, previews follow a HOP on the first row, and steps that nudge their timing no longer pull a table out of time. - The delay's ping-pong mode now bounces between both ears at equal strength, and its MOD wobble sweeps the left and right channels separately for a wider stereo shimmer. - It is now much more difficult to accidentally nudge a track's fader in the mixer. - After pausing and resuming playback, the first notes no longer play too loud or at the wrong brightness. - Switching songs no longer carries the last song's phrase number and copied cells over. - Cloning a phrase on the song page now gives it the next free number instead of one in the 240s, which was possible after certain interactions. - A phrase's preview in its song page cell updates as soon as you leave the phrase editor. - Opening a song no longer warns about instrument slots you simply haven't filled in yet.
