Bolt: Request a Ride 4+

Today I requested taxy and we waited too mutch after that I decided to cancel request and Bolt app requested cancelation fee. I felt terrible becourse I didn’t do anything wrong and still I paid for service that I didn’t get. I think there will be speculations from drivers acording to this new cancelation fee. It was good time usig bolt app but after this New feature I felt that bolt doesn’t care about clients.

So I’ll just begin with that I usually never use the Bolt due it it’s price and prefer Yandex. But due to the situation at the moment bolt is only option but here is why I deleted it: The time left when the Taxi will arrive is inaccurate, shows 5 min the car will take 10-15 min to arrive. The email with 20% off is more or less a scam. If before the price let say from point A to point B is 5 euro, with the discount is still shows 5 euro (7.2 Euro) as old price which I find funny and if I’m not mistaken such practice is illegal. Also some Bolt drivers seems to love to take the order and just start to drive away from your initial point so you would cancel the order. Sure I’ll get the money back but time is wasted, I order taxi when it’s a must. Also, instead of showing UA flag in a shape of a flag better donate to me instead of doing the show off that you somehow care about the country and not as a marketing strategy so that people hopefully see it and think oh hey they support UA let’s use bolt.

The time calculation for route is just bad. If you call a taxi and it says 8minutes, its probably gonna be twice that. The app doesn’t take in account the route the driver has to take to drop off previous passenger. Also drivers with bad cars can easily register as comfort level even though their car would barely qualify for economy. A lot of times you want to put a bad rating for the driver while actually it’s just bad route optimisation by the app.
Also the price scaling during rush hours is just stupid. Sometimes drivers accept you then cancel you just cause they see the price point rise, so you end up missing an appointment. And drivers dont get any penalties for this kind of action as far as im aware of.
Dont rely on the app if you have an appointment to make. You are better off taking a scooter at those occasions. Scooter service though is pretty good, only sometimes scooters dont go the promised 25km/h but closer to 20. Never below 20, though.
