What's New in BBNotes 1.75 A transcript panel you can move anywhere: On iPad and Mac, drag the transcript bar up or to the side and it becomes a floating panel you can put anywhere on screen. Drop it near the bottom and it docks again. While it's floating, drag the bottom corners to resize it, down to 220pt wide. On narrow panels, less-used buttons move into a "⋯" menu. Custom translation colours for live captions: Choose blue, black/white, orange, red, green or purple, so translations stay readable on blue slides. The palette button sits next to "Aa" on the caption bar. Read back through the transcript without being pulled down: Scroll up and new lines won't interrupt you. A "↓ N new" button appears so you can jump back to the latest line. Recall for text boxes and sticky notes: In Recall mode, tap a text box or sticky note to jump to the point in the recording where you added it. Improvements & Fixes Live transcription during recording is on by default again, so captions no longer seem to disappear after updating. If you turned it off yourself, it stays off. The Transcription & Translation settings now have a "Close" button that is always visible, and Esc closes them too. File and folder names can include "?" and other punctuation instead of having them replaced with "_". Two notes with the same name, created in the same folder on different devices, used to block each other's sync. Now one is renamed to a conflict copy and both are kept. PDF export keeps highlights and annotations from your slides. Text, images and text boxes appear in the right place on rotated pages, AI screenshots include text boxes, page thumbnails show text boxes, and lasso selection is more accurate. Closing a window directly on Mac or iPad now stops the recording and saves it properly. One damaged item in a note no longer wipes out everything else of that type. The damaged data is kept in a separate file so it can be recovered. Imported notes with an uppercase .BBNOTE extension now open and sync normally. If a move or rename can't be completed, it's undone and you're told, so the next sync won't move the note back. Switching accounts no longer reuses the previous account's sign-in token. Memory use during long recordings with live captions is more stable. Dragging the transcript panel on Mac no longer expands or collapses it by mistake.

What's New in 1.74 More reliable sync When two devices edit the same note, neither overwrites the other. Both versions are kept: the original, plus a new note labeled with the device and date. Just opening or reading a note no longer counts as an edit, so it won't cause false conflicts. Items that can't sync yet now show a gray "N items pending" status. Tap it to see why each one is waiting; the app retries automatically. Red appears only when you need to take action. Faster sync. You'll see "Notes synced, checking…" as soon as your notes are uploaded. Signing out and back in to the same account no longer starts sync from scratch. You'll be asked to update when a newer version is required. Recently Deleted Deleted notes and folders go to Recently Deleted first, where you can restore them or delete them permanently. Deleting permanently also removes the cloud copy. Recordings & captions New for Premium: bilingual cloud transcription for recordings, using the same cloud minutes as live captions. Improved setup before recording with live captions. Language downloads no longer stop partway on slow networks, and translation resumes automatically once the language is installed. Translations into Simplified Chinese now always come out in Simplified characters. In Recall mode, tap an inserted image to jump to that point in the recording. Fixed tapping a word on a translation card also selecting the words next to it. Editing & Mac On Mac, a note opens in only one window. Opening it again brings that window to the front. On Mac, when the pen is off, you can press and drag on the trackpad to select text without triggering the lasso. Handwriting now scales with the page when you zoom the canvas. In Dark Mode, exports and screenshots keep your ink colors as they look on paper. Stability improvements and bug fixes.
