Useful features have been added to the Tour page as one is swiping through the waypoints: append audio to each waypoint audio and edit its title.

Converted certain labels that are missing on certain iPhones to buttons. Streamlined the startup after initial install.

Additional convenient ways to play the waypoint audio.

Added options on startup screen to control the audio recording when creating a new waypoint. Also, when the waypoints list is empty an example waypoint is automatically created to help getting started.

Fixes certain iPhone problems on some devices: disappearing labels and icons and non-working audio recording.

This version changes the appearance of the app by replacing the button text labels with icons so that the app is more international. A context sensitive help system explains the function of each button, although the meaning of each icon should be fairly intuitive. Approvals for permissions to access phone features are now done on the initial pages after installation.

If there is a problem with this version please give me feedback with sufficient detail that will allow me to fix the problem. Screenshots showing me exactly how to reproduce the problem is necessary. This version allows the audio to be trimmed, meaning unwanted audio can be removed from the beginning and end of a clip.

In the Tour the map can now be turned off to make the images full screen. User can switch between Metric and Imperial units for distance. Audio recording continues for a new waypoint until the Stop or Done button is pressed. This allows an arbitrarily long recording for a new waypoint. Home coordinates are added to navigate back home after navigating to any waypoint.

Added magnetic north declination to compass.

Organizing the waypoints lists is easier with multiple selections. Once waypoints have been selected they can be moved or copied to the other list in one operation. Navigation has also been improved with distance to waypoint and accuracy. Just follow where the compass points to reach your waypoint.

There are additional ways to reorder the waypoints list. A waypoint can now be moved an arbitrary number of positions up or down the list. Also the list can be reversed.

Adding a waypoint has been streamlined. The GPS is polled periodically so that when a waypoint is added the delay is not as long waiting for the GPS to get a fix. 10 seconds of audio is automatically recorded when a waypoint is added and a photo is taken.

The coordinates can now be updated either manually or with GPS.

There are optimizations for working with two waypoint lists but otherwise no new functionality over 3.3.

There are now 2 waypoiint lists and the ability to edit them and move waypoints between them. There is a major new navigation feature that allows you to select a waypoint and view a compass dial to navigate directly to it. This is helpful when one is hiking in the wilderness. It works even if there is no cell service because it relies solely on GPS.

Two waypoint lists can be created and managed at the same time in the app.

The tour feature allows you to scroll through your images while listening to the attached audio and observing the location of each waypoint on a map. The Help feature now uses screenshots and descriptions of each feature.

A tour feature has been added that allows the user to swipe between the waypoint images while listening to the audio attached to each one.

Audio has been added to the Edit Waypoint page and if the image is tapped it will go full screen and play the audio. While in the View Image page you can pinch to zoom and drag to pan. Also, the KML file that is created and shared with the Map button is now also zipped up with the Save button. Thus, the zip file not only serves to save the waypoints but also as an additional source of the KML file for mapping.

The images are now backed up in the database. If the user had a list of waypoints with images in the app that had not been saved (using the Save button) then the download of a new version from the app store would cause the images to disappear. With some effort they could be restored from the gallery. However, that is no longer necessary. The images are now backed up in the database and restored automatically with no intervention of the user.

An image viewer page was added to view an enlarged image that can be zoomed and panned.

Fixed a sharing (Save and Map buttons) problem with newer iPads that is the result of a known bug in iOS. Rearranged a couple of buttons for ergonomics.
