KaView

Read any codebase, offline.

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

KaView turns your iPhone and iPad into a place to learn how things are built — by reading real projects from GitHub, with an AI tutor that answers your questions in plain language. You don't need to be a developer. You just need to be curious. READ A REPOSITORY LIKE A BOOK Pick a project from the Marketplace — Microsoft's "Generative AI for Beginners," freeCodeCamp, codecrafters, awesome lists, and many more — and KaView downloads it to your device. From there it reads like a textbook: chapters numbered in order, a table of contents, examples, and the actual source code right next to the explanations. No ads, no autoplay videos, no algorithm pulling you somewhere else. AN AI TUTOR THAT KNOWS WHAT YOU'RE READING The built-in AI Assistant sees the page you're currently on and answers your questions about it. You can ask things like: • "Explain this file to me like I'm a beginner" • "What does this word mean?" • "Give me a simpler example" • "Why is it written this way?" Two modes: • On-device — a small AI model that runs offline, costs nothing, and never sends your data anywhere. Works on a plane. • Cloud — bring your own API key (OpenAI, Anthropic) when you want a more powerful assistant. WHO USES KAVIEW • Curious people who want to understand how AI, web apps, and software actually work • Career changers learning to code at their own pace • Students who'd rather read than watch tutorial videos • Self-taught learners who want a tutor in their pocket • Bilingual learners — KaView speaks French and English • Travelers, commuters, anyone who learns best in short offline sessions A NATIVE iOS 26 EXPERIENCE Built from the ground up for iPhone and iPad with iOS 26's Liquid Glass design. Tab bar on iPhone, sidebar on iPad, full multi-window and Stage Manager support, Dynamic Type, VoiceOver, external keyboard. Works on iPad Pro M-series with the same fluidity as on iPhone. PRIVACY BY DEFAULT No trackers. No ads. No telemetry. The on-device AI doesn't connect to the internet — your reading habits stay yours. Once a course is downloaded, KaView works fully offline. Learn on the train, on a plane, or in a café with no Wi-Fi. Read a repo. Ask a question. Understand it. That's the whole pitch.
