Spolia botanique offers immersive botanical experiences in virtual gardens. We created these gardens by recycling and recomposing the gardens we digitized. To bring them to life, we incorporated animals and sound recordings made in forests. Hummingbirds fly around and giant butterflies rest on flowers. The application presents three gardens:
The Echinacea Dream offers an atmospheric augmentation of our immediate environment. Walk through the flower particles floating in the air. This garden does not replace the surrounding physical environment, but offers only a volumetric enrichment.
The Gate of the Botanist blends your physical environment with an imaginary architecture. Explore the virtual ruins where different flowers have found refuge and second life.
The Dahlia Forest teleports you into a lush virtual forest. Exchange your physical surroundings with the tall and dense botanical dream.
