As the first mobile app developed by immigrants and refugees for immigrants and refugees in the state of Oregon, Torus embodies the spirit of community, inclusion, and empowerment.

Upcoming Events: Discover a variety of opportunities, including locations offering English classes, vibrant cultural festivals, interactive volunteer workshops, and much more
Video content: Created by Torus volunteers, staff, and learners
Linguistically Responsive Teaching and Learning Tools: Offers quizzes, grammar correction feature, and AI-powered chat bot to support diverse learning needs.
Translation Support: Includes translation feature in the messaging feature for six commonly spoken languages in Oregon: Dari, Russian, Ukrainian, Mandarin, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
Messaging Feature: Enables seamless communication between learners, teachers, and Torus staff, including the ability to send audio messages and images.
Volunteer Resources: Provides lesson templates, resources, and ways for volunteers to sign up and get involved.
Torus Curriculum: Provides lesson templates, modules, and resources for virtual and in-person teaching.
User Profiles: Allows users to create profiles, write bios, change profile pictures, select their English level, city, country, and choose their gender.
Torus is here to empower English learners and volunteers, offering a rich set of features to support learning, communication, and community building.
