Anytype - The Everything App 4+

This update introduces a new way to collaborate in Anytype, with real-time conversations, file sharing, and improved space management – all wrapped in a faster, smoother mobile experience.

Welcome to Chat
Chat in Anytype works just like you’d expect – fast messages, replies, reactions – but goes further: you can create and edit objects together in real time. Everything you share lives in your widgets and stays organized, even when you don’t.

• Conversations + Objects: You can create new Objects directly from a chat screen, turning your thoughts into Pages, Tasks, or any other Type. Drop existing Objects into a chat, and start discussing or editing them right away.

• Files and Media: Share photos, videos and docs – everything you upload is automatically placed in its relevant Type (Images, Files) and always accessible through your widgets.

• Notifications: A big milestone unlocked: you can now receive notifications! Choose what you want to be alerted about: all activity or mentions only. Mute specific Spaces or Chats with a long-tap in your Vault, and adjust preferences anytime in settings.

• Invitations: Inviting new members is now effortless. Share a link or QR code, and people can join your chat instantly without waiting for approval.

• Chat vs Space Format: Chats keep your conversations front and center – quick, flowing, easy to follow. Spaces keep the focus on your widget screen, giving you instant access to your data. You can switch between the two formats in your settings – choose what is better for your use.


Widgets Restructure
We’ve reworked the widget navigation to make it clearer to use. The idea was to separate quick shortcuts from content containers, which are now split into two collapsible sections:
• Pinned – all the widgets you had before, kept at hand.
• Object Types – previously accessible only from Settings, these containers list all objects of a given Type and work just like widgets.

Everything you pinned before is preserved in the Pinned widget. You can re-pin in the new way and remove the old widget if you prefer. If you've been using Recently Edited or Recently Opened, those widgets remain, but once removed they can't be added back. Instead, you can always create Queries to show objects by their creation or modification date. At the same time, we've removed duplicate flows like the Edit Widgets and All Objects, so there's now a single, unified way to pin and organize.


The Vault Update
Your Vault now brings together Spaces and Chats with live previews and updates in a single view. Chats appear with round icons while Spaces keep their square ones. You can pin your most important chats or spaces to the top and reorder them as you like, while everything else automatically sorts by recent activity.

Improvements
Sharing Extension
The extension has been redesigned and adapted for Chats. Share photos, links, or docs from any iOS app – Safari, Photos, Files – straight into a conversation. Use the system share button, pick a chat, and your content lands in the right place.

Slash Menu in Editor
• Take photo or video and Add link moved up for quicker access.
• Style renamed to Text Style.
• Objects renamed to New Object.
• Submenus now show visual indicators.
