This update fixes a blank map that some of you ran into — the community map now loads reliably again on every device. We've also made Hi, Tree a little better at saying hello: friendly weekday reminders now reach everyone who has claimed a tree, so more of your trees get a gentle nudge during the week. Plus the usual behind-the-scenes polish and stability improvements.

A big update for the trees you love. New: Up for adoption. Claimed trees now have a gentle 21-day visit rhythm. Drop by a tree you've named (a quick photo when you're there) to keep it — or discover one that's been let go and adopt it as your own. The map is redrawn and warmer, with claimed, unclaimed, and up-for-adoption trees clearly color-coded, plus a countdown on each of your trees. New first-run experience: snap a tree, identify it, give it a name and a personality, and celebrate your very first claim. Your trees can talk back: Tree Chat now remembers your history together, and your trees reach out now and then with a little in-character hello — including on weekends. Also: optional trunk and leaf close-ups for sharper identification, friendlier name suggestions, a smoother map and lists, and lots of small polish and fixes.

Your trees can talk back now. • Tree Chat: tap any tree and ask about it — its likely species, age, local history, and what it's up to this season. Our AI naturalist answers in the tree's voice. • Trees that reach out: claim a tree and it'll check in with you now and then — a gentle note around mid-morning when there's something worth saying, like weather it just came through or a landmark nearby. • A real sense of place and season: trees now notice the soil, the air and pollen, nearby wildlife, the river, the moon, and whether they're leafing out, flowering, or turning for autumn. • Photo check-ins: snap a fresh photo of your tree right from the chat and it reacts to how it's looking. • Suggest a better name: spotted a misidentified species on someone's tree? Suggest a correction — the owner reviews and confirms. • Plus unread message dots, send times on chat messages, and a smoother, more reliable first launch.

Meet Epic Trees — monumental, unclaimed trees near you, waiting for their first name. • A new map filter lets you switch between All trees, Claimed trees, and Epic (unclaimed) ones. • Epic trees show up as red markers. The first time one comes into view, a quick intro explains how it works. • Tap "Show me epic trees nearby" and the map flies straight to the closest one. • Browse a dedicated Epic Trees list, sorted by what's nearest to you — from the map, or your Nearby and My Trees screens. Plus the usual round of polish and fixes.

Sign in with Apple and Google so your trees, claims, and check-ins follow you across devices. Found an unclaimed tree on the map? Tap it, give it a name, and it's yours — your name now lives there for the rest of the community to see. Check in at trees you visit and climb the leaderboard to see who's exploring the most. A fresh Twilight Garden look across the whole app, with smoother map markers and a redesigned tree silhouette. You can now delete your account from inside the app whenever you want. Plus a stack of small polish: tree-chat answers stay complete, trees far from your location no longer disappear from the map, and the Edit Pin screen is snappier.
