Birmingham Hall is a quiet little workshop you carry in your pocket. I made it because I wanted somewhere to put the small thoughts that pile up between meetings — the questions, the half-formed answers, the things I keep meaning to come back to.
Instead of another blank notes app, I built a place that feels like a forge.
Open it and you land in Birmingham at dusk. Brass markers, copper trim, that smoky industrial mood.
Pick a purpose — career, curiosity, discipline, or just yourself — and the app shapes its prompts around what you're chasing.
The Logbook is where most of the work happens. It hands you a prompt tied to a concept you've been exploring, and you write back.
Nothing fancy. No streak shaming. The entries link up over time into a graph you can scroll through and actually recognise as your own.
Heritage Lens is the breather.
Tap a glowing point on the skyline — the Bullring, the Pen Museum, a canal lock — and read a short note about the place.
It's not a tour guide. It's more like overheard stories.
Self Study, Patterns, and Frameworks give you small lessons to chew on between cups of coffee.
Five minutes here, ten there. The Hallmark Cabinet quietly stamps a mark when you hit certain milestones, but it never gets in your face about it.
There's a small arcade tucked in the corner for when you need to switch your brain off.
The level system runs in the background, marking how long you've been showing up.
No subscriptions buried in menus. No ads.
No data sold off. Just a quiet place to think, walk, and keep a record of who you're becoming.
