Mofi is a free app for fisheries compliance monitoring developed by Anchor Lab in collaboration with Thünen Institute (Germany) and the fisheries producer organizations from Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, and Denmark. The app is designed for commercial Fishers and automatically logs a fishing vessels position at sea while enabling fishers to register their fishing operations. It contains an interactive map showing the route of the vessel a long with different types of light weight sea chart information. The map supports various types of layers that can be downloaded directly from inside the app*. All downloaded layers work offline, meaning they are stored on the phone and rendered without the need of an internet connection. All data logged during a fishing trip can be uploaded automatically* to land to a user selected organization.
