The update also brings some special features for iOS/iPadOS 18 and watchOS 11, like new dark/tinted app icons, a new UI on iPad, support for the Double Tap gesture on Apple Watch, and more. This also brings a change to the business model of the app: from paid upfront to free with a 'Pi-hole Remote+' version. Doing this felt like a right move to make more people enjoy the basic features of Pi-hole Remote for free, while also making sure the app has a sustainable future. I made sure that everyone who downloaded/purchased the app before this update, will get Pi-hole Remote+ lifetime for free.
