Improvements • Messages that still showed in English in the other languages are now translated: the warning when a server's host key changes, credential errors on connect, the AI Assistant's errors, and some theme and font names. • Updated the libraries Pockterm is built on.

Fixed • Glasses and external displays now work on iOS 27. Plugging in video glasses like VITURE, or a monitor, used to just mirror the phone. Now the terminal fills that screen and the phone keeps the keyboard, as on iOS 26.

The glasses get their own text size, the Paste button pastes into the terminal, and PgUp and PgDn page back through what scrolled off. • Uploading is easy to find. The file browser has an Upload button: send files from Files or iCloud Drive, or photos and videos from your library, several at a time. Pockterm shows what landed and scrolls to it, and says why if something fails. • File actions are a tap away. Tap a file, or the ⋯ beside a folder, to download, rename, change permissions or delete it. • Pockterm is now open source, under the Apache 2.0 licence. Fixed • Taking your time over a new server's host key no longer makes the connection fail. It used to give up after ten seconds. • Rejecting a host key now says so, instead of showing an error code.

New • Sort files by date. The file browser has a Sort button: order by Name or Date, newest first. Tap the one already chosen to flip the order. Pockterm remembers your choice. • See when every file changed. Each row in the file browser now shows its modification date and time next to its permissions and size. • The built-in guide now covers importing a key you already have. Fixed • tmux no longer garbles the screen. Programs that redraw a lot inside tmux, such as emacs saving a file or paging through a buffer, could scramble lines, the emacs mode line especially. • The cursor stops blinking when nothing is listening. Once the shell exits, the connection fails or the session is disconnected, the cursor holds still instead of inviting you to type. It blinks again if the session comes back. • Pockterm is now built in the Swift 6 language mode, which catches threading mistakes when the app is compiled rather than when it runs.

New • Bring a key you already have. Import an Ed25519 or RSA private key — pasted in, or picked from Files, with or without a passphrase — instead of generating one in Pockterm and adding it to every server by hand. • A Backspace key that repeats. Hold it on the key bar and it keeps deleting, instead of one character per tap. If you had customised the key bar before this key existed, it has been added to your layout. • Older servers connect. Pockterm now negotiates ssh-rsa host keys, group 14 key exchange and AES-CTR — often all that an unmaintained server or an appliance offers. Those connections used to fail outright, with nothing on screen to explain why. Fixed • An RSA server's fingerprint appears when you are asked to trust it. It used to show as "unknown" with no fingerprint at all — exactly when you need something to check.

New • Nine more languages. Pockterm now speaks 14 — Italian, French, Greek, Russian, Ukrainian, Japanese, Korean, Hindi and Telugu join Spanish, Arabic, Hebrew and both Chinese scripts. Every string is translated, including the whole in-app guide. Fixed • The arrow keys are on screen. They used to sit past the right edge of the key bar, reachable only by swiping — and they are the keys you reach for most. • Ports read as ports in every language. In Arabic a port of 8080 was shown as ٨٬٠٨٠. Ports and permissions now always use Latin digits, so they match what is in your server's config. • Parts of the port-forwarding screen stayed in English whatever language you used. They are translated now. • The AI assistant no longer reports an error when a command simply exits with a non-zero status. It now receives the command's output along with the status, so it can tell you what actually happened.

Fixed • Full-screen tools now render properly. Pockterm was telling every server the terminal was 80 columns wide no matter its real size, so top, htop and vim wrapped each line onto two. • The keyboard-dismiss button on the key bar is a proper, tappable chip again, and keys scroll underneath it instead of past it. • The AI assistant can dismiss its keyboard, which used to cover most of the answer. New • Assistant conversations are kept per host, so reopening a server picks up where you left off — including after the app has been closed. Delete one at any time with the bin in the assistant. Conversations stay on your device.

Now in your language - Pockterm is fully translated into Spanish, Arabic, Hebrew, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese - every screen, the whole user guide, and every VoiceOver label. - Arabic and Hebrew get a properly mirrored interface, while the terminal itself stays left-to-right, because that is how a server addresses its columns. Polish - A clearer theme picker, and a quieter close button on session tabs.

Find your files faster - A help button in the SFTP browser explains how to download (long-press a file), how to upload, and how to move files to and from iCloud Drive. Keyboard fixes - The hide-keyboard button is now pinned to the right of the key bar, so it never scrolls out of reach. The other keys slide underneath it. Under the hood - Updated the terminal engine to the latest SwiftTerm.

Files, front and centre - A host can now open straight into the SFTP file browser: choose SSH or SFTP when you add or edit it. - Reach files from any live session with the new folder button in the terminal bar, or by long-pressing a host. Large transfers - Uploads and downloads now stream, so moving a big file no longer balloons memory. - The browser shows real progress, with transferred and total size. Clearer setup - "Identity" is now "Credentials", and a host cannot be saved without them - no more discovering that at connect time. - A dismiss button on the keyboard in the host editor, so the Port number pad is no longer a dead end. Also: a redrawn app icon, including dark and tinted variants for iOS 18.

Make the terminal yours — pick from built-in color themes and monospaced fonts, set per host. Pinch to zoom the terminal text, with a one-tap reset back to your default size. Switch themes live — change a session's theme on the fly, no reconnect. Stay connected — a configurable keep-alive holds idle sessions open as long as you want.
