• Trace Image: convert a placed image into stacked vector shapes, one per color. Adjust colors, small specks and smoothness with a live preview, or let Auto pick the settings • Distort Path: apply Zigzag, Roughen, Pucker & Bloat and Twist directly to the path of selected shapes • Lock objects (⌘2) and Unlock All (⌥⌘2) • Open PDF and SVG files with "Open with", or by dragging and dropping onto the window: images are placed as they are; SVG, PDF, AI and DXF files open in a new tab or are imported into the current document, your choice • Lower memory use for large documents, with smaller temporary spikes while editing • Create Outlines from Text now works from the menu • Fixed: removing the last level of a clone, array or rotation mirror left the copies behind as separate shapes

• Rotation mirror: select a shape or group, drag from the center to set the start line, then drag again to set the count. Edit the original and every copy follows. Areas outside the sector can be clipped, gradients rotate with the copies, and dragging a copy moves the whole set • Clones and arrays now work the same way. Edit them with handles, and nest clones, arrays and rotation mirrors freely • New straightedge ruler for drawing straight along its edge • Opening a multi-page PDF now lays out every page; choose the layout and spacing. "Artboard" is now called "Page" • PDF text is imported as live text you can edit with the Text tool • Copy and paste shapes between open documents (tabs) • PNG-8 added to Export for Web; choose the number of decimal places for SVG export • Nicer text entry display; fixed a blend bug while editing inside a group

• Fixed a crash on Mac when pressing keys • Text in imported PDFs now appears (it opens as shapes) • Multi-page PDFs open one page at a time: choose the page when you open the file. Opening all pages at once is coming in the next version • PDFs whose pages are single images (scans, screenshots) now open as images when imported • Mesh gradient (tool U): tap a shape to add a grid, then drag its points to blend colors. Each grid point can have its own opacity • Opacity for each gradient color stop. Presets (sunset, ocean, rainbow and more), even spacing of stops, and saving your favorite color sets (up to 12) • Transparent gradients and meshes keep their look when exported to PDF or SVG • Fixed a bug where color stop opacity was lost when importing SVG • Fixed the layout of the export screens (image and web) on Mac

• Multiple artboards: place several pages in one document. PDF export produces multiple pages, and image export covers every artboard at once • Document tabs: switch between several files as tabs (⌘T on Mac) • Gradient tool (G): drag on the canvas to set direction and range, and add, move or delete color stops directly • Blend tool (W): create any number of in-between shapes that interpolate shape, color and stroke width between two objects • Rulers and guides, unit-based alignment, and alignment to a key object • Group selection tool: a second click selects objects inside the group. Place images from Photos or the clipboard • The color panel shows the fill and stroke of the selected object. Small iPad windows now use the iPhone layout • Added Russian, Spanish, German and Portuguese interface languages. Color mode is now a document setting: switching between RGB and CMYK converts every color in the document

• All color pickers now use the Color Sphere. It shows the hex code (tap to copy) and the CMYK equivalent • New hue ring around the sphere's equator: tap it to bring that pure hue to the front • The fill/stroke switch is now an overlapping-squares icon and the panel is tidier; the floating panel scrolls vertically • Rounding, chamfering and inverse rounding now work on corners involving curves • New button to release compound paths • Better gradient stop editing (drag to move, tap to pick a color) • Support for CMYK-specified colors (with ink limit and K usage settings). • Better AirPlay / external display support: the full desktop layout appears on the external screen, and you control the menus, toolbox and panels with a cursor from your iPhone or iPad trackpad. UI size adapts to the display resolution • Tool selection on the external screen now works like the desktop (flyouts for tool groups); sliders and number fields can be adjusted with the cursor • Click repeatedly at the same spot to select overlapping objects one by one, from top to bottom • Place a second finger while dragging to keep moving objects • Clones are no longer affected by the rotation or scaling of the original • Fixed selecting single objects inside a masked group in edit mode • Objects with effects now keep their appearance when exported to PDF
