The OCR scanner got a big upgrade. Tap a word and the page zooms in so it's easy to pick exactly the right one, and one tap brings you back to the full page. And with the new Study Mode (the book icon in the scanner), you can look up as many words as you like from a single photo without retaking it.

Study exactly what you want The new Manage Deck lets you choose what shows up in your flashcards. Turn individual words or whole books on and off, search your words, sort them by book or A to Z, and filter to see what you've turned off. You can also drop a word from your deck without leaving study mode. Change a memory tip anytime Not feeling a memory tip, even on a word you saved a while ago? Tap Change and pick another. Your image updates to match the new one. Pick your primary definition When a word has more than one meaning, choose which one is your primary. For words you scan, we pick the meaning that fits your book automatically. Edit your reading dates You can now set a book's start and finish dates, so books you read before Wordshelf fit right into your reading history. Plus a cleaner book page and a handful of fixes.

Flashcards are here. • Study mode: Open Study from your profile and flip through the words you've saved. Every card shows the definition, an example sentence, and your mnemonic with its image, so the words actually stick. • Did you mean? If a word isn't found, you'll now get tappable suggestions for close matches. A typo no longer means a dead end. • Time zone fixes: Your streak, activity grid, and daily word list now follow your own time zone, so everything lines up with your real day. • Export your library: Save your words and books to a clean file anytime. Mistyped a word? We've got you. When Wordshelf can't find what you typed, it now suggests the words you probably meant. Just tap one to look it up. A small typo won't get between you and the right definition anymore.

Memory image fixes: • The style you pick (photorealistic, comic book, watercolor, and others) now sticks across word lookups. No more resetting every time. • New installs default to photorealistic. • Switching styles mid-generation no longer freezes the image. • The "Tap to generate" retry actually works now.

Book Clubs are here. Start a club with friends, share the invite code, and chat about what you're reading. Add a book or finish one and it auto-posts to the club so nobody has to remember to share. React with emoji, rate books with stars, and keep it all private to your group. We also updated the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

Your reading streak and activity grid now live on the Search tab, right where you look up words. You'll see how many days you've read this week, your current streak, and the words and books you're on pace to learn this year.
