Cold Temperature Corrections – Professional Aviation Tool
When outside air temperature is colder than ISA, an aircraft’s true altitude is lower than the indicated altitude—reducing terrain and obstacle clearance. To mitigate this risk, regulations require pilots to apply cold temperature corrections.
