DDC ID; the face of identity verification and compliance for DBS & right to work checks.
The secure and reliable digital identity app enables you to verify your identity anytime, anywhere. It is only available to clients and applicants submitting DBS and/or right to work applications in the UK, through Due Diligence Checking Limited.
How does it work?
To begin your journey you will need to enter form details on to the DDC portal, and then obtain a QR code. The organisation that requested the check will have triggered this process by sending you a log-in email, to an online form. This must be completed first. You will then have to confirm you have available documents to complete verification digitally. An on-screen QR code will then be displayed so you can either download DDC ID or login to start your verification session. This is where the DDC ID app allows you to confirm your identity within minutes.
Step 1: When prompted by the app, use the camera on your smartphone to visually scan the document to collect data and check the primary security features. If the document has a data chip this will also be scanned for additional information available and cryptographic security features.
Step 2: When instructed, the app will guide you to take a selfie and complete a liveness test. Simply follow the on-screen guidance so the app can capture the information, and we can compare the photo against the identity document.
Step 3: Return to the online system when prompted to complete and submit your application.
The checks take a matter of minutes.
Keeping your details safe
At Due Diligence Checking Limited we are committed to making sure your data is dealt with appropriately from start to finish in line with data protection legislation and the GDPR. We are externally accredited to ISO 27001, this means that we are constantly testing and reviewing our security systems and ensure data security is one of the primary considerations in all services provided.
Once the above steps have been completed DDC ID will auto-delete all the data captured from the scanned documents and liveness test. We do not store or process any of your data on the app, as it is all encrypted and sent to our secure systems for further processing. This makes DDC ID secure, safe and easy to use.
