Desklive is a Malayalam short news app which collects, segregates & summarises news from a multitude of news platforms and aggregates them into a unified location where news can be consumed as snippets that are each 75 words or less. Whether it’s the interface or the content, our approach is minimal - Just the essentials; No flab and sleaze. Sports, Business, Politics, Tech, Science, Lifestyle, Regional, Hot News - whatever your interest is, we’ve got you covered. Desklive has: a customised section for local news. a Timeline feature to track news from the past. a Fact-check section to ensure if a particular piece is fake or genuine. News for NRIs. News classified into sections like Sports, Business, Politics, Tech, Science, Lifestyle etc. for ease of surfing and to focus on just what you need. time-sensitive Breaking News, Flash News and path-breaking Exposés. news based on a regional level - whether it is the Far West, Middle East, National or Local. Our Sources: We have a wide network of stringers throughout the country. They update news via our Content Management System; we review the authenticity and relevance of the same and publish them from our desk. Additionally, we also source updates from major publications, news channel tickers and online portals that operate with integrity. Government Notifications and Orders: We are subscribed to the Information & Public Relations department and make sure important notifications are made available to you via our platform. Law: We publish any updates or crucial information from the websites of the Supreme Court of India & High Courts responsibly. We verify the facts presented in each piece of news from at least two sources before we go ahead. The practice of sourcing from multiple articles helps us ensure that our news does not reflect the views of a single source, thereby ensuring we are not biased or opinionated. As part of our multi-tier review process, the language, grammar, potential plagiarism and content guidelines are crosschecked first by the creator and then by the editor based on our internal SOPs. In this Information Age where technology has just about touched every corner of our lives, we understand there is no bigger challenge than stopping the spread of misinformation and identifying fake news that has little to do with journalism and only caters to vested interests.
