Fretionary 5.0.9
NEW: Triads in Scale
See the chords hiding inside any scale. In Scales mode, choose Major, Minor or All under "Triads in scale" to see every triad the scale contains, labeled by Roman numeral (I, ii, iii, IV…).
• Tap a chord to hear it and light it up on the neck while the rest of the scale fades back. Tap it again to clear.
• Label the triad by scale degree or by chord role (R / 3 / 5).
• Narrow it to any 3-string set to see the closed triad shapes, color-coded by inversion: root position, 1st and 2nd.
• Step from I to IV to V on the same strings to hear how the chords connect.
FIXED: Scale position numbering
Positions now follow the standard pentatonic box system. Position 1 is always the box with the root on the low E string, and positions 2–5 climb the neck from there. Box 5 sits just behind Box 1 when it fits. Before, the numbers shifted from key to key. For example, C minor pentatonic's Box 3 is now correctly at frets 12–15, with the root on the A string at fret 15.
