This is an Ed-Tech platform for anyone who want to learn the basics of Ge'ez alphabets in an engaging, simple and gamified method . Specifically designed for the unique Abugida writing system used by several languages across the globe, it is the best way to learn how to read and write languages like Amharic, Tigrigna and many others to come.
Our education system includes, super fun interactive writing exercises and more than 150 illustrated cards with words to help you learn and associate alphabets with their corresponding sounds and words.
When you are done with learning how to read and write, we have our
'Stories? section waiting for you, loaded with plenty of entertaining educational contents to help you practice what you learnt on our game section.
For us, HaHu is more than just an App! It is a platform that provides basic literacy to millions who do not have a chance in the traditional education system. It is also a place where we conserve, digitalise and record educational materials found within oral tradition, stories, songs and fairytales found in cultures across nations, starting from Ethiopia. HaHu is an initiative to conserve and pass literary intangible cultures to the next generation through digital technology.
We started our journey with the Amharic language. We are now finishing our work to integrate and include Tigrigna to our system, in the coming months.
