This app needs to be used together with the Mac client iPocketDock. Please go to Settings and tap Download Mac App to download the Mac client. iPocketRemote is a secure, lightweight remote for your Mac on the same local network. Pair via QR code or manual code to establish a trusted link, then control media, adjust volume and mute, and lock or sleep your Mac—right from your phone. Highlights Fast pairing: QR scan or manual code, ready in seconds Smart connectivity: auto discovery of paired Macs and seamless reconnect Media control: play/pause, previous/next track Volume control: 0–100 slider, volume up/down, one‑tap mute System actions: lock screen and put Mac to sleep Smooth UX: clear feedback and haptics, real‑time status Multi‑device: add/remove/rename devices; mark a preferred device Security & Privacy App‑layer HMAC‑SHA256 signing with timestamp checks to prevent tampering/replay Pre‑shared keys stored securely in the iOS Keychain Local‑only communication, no cloud and no accounts required Permissions Camera: used only to scan pairing QR codes Local Network: used to discover and connect to your Mac (Bonjour/mDNS) Requirements iOS 17.0 or later Companion Mac app “iPocketDock” running on the same network (not included) Tip: On first use, allow Camera and Local Network permissions to complete pairing and connection.
