Knit Cap Notes supports taking notes on your Apple devices, keeping them organized in folders, and sharing or exporting them. Also, Knit Cap Notes loads a local Machine Learning (ML) model that can help you write notes. While this local model will have less knowledge than larger models available online from other companies (and will make more mistakes!), it can provide quick convenience and privacy, and it doesn't require any monthly subscription fee.

- the app is "opinionated" - every note must be created in a folder, and every note must have a title.
- it is a feature, not a limitation, that images and formatting are ignored when you copy and paste text into the App. The app is meant to enforce that content is only plain text, that can be imported and exported in standardized formats.
- it lets you share/export notes individually, or a folder at a time, and either as plain text or as JSON.
- You can quickly toggle between Light Mode and Dark Mode within the App, just for the App.
- Knit Cap Notes is available separately for iOS and for macOS, and you can synchronize its data across your devices.
