The map is great at telling stories, such as how big or small things are. This often depends on what we relate them to. We often hear of features being a certain size or about the scale of natural events without getting a real sense of how large or small it is. With MapScale you can show scale using an overlay of a defined size and shape or put two locations side by side at the same scale. The purpose is simply to put size into perspective. Communicate by exporting and sharing to social media or save to your photo library.
