The mobile application Mislimetar is an educational and entertaining tool for formal and informal education. It aims to encourage the development of critical thinking and media literacy among young people.
The content of the application is divided into seven thematic modules. The interactive modules are designed to cover different critical thinking and media literacy segments. They consist of videos, textual explanations, pictures and questions for users.
The seven modules of Mislimetar are the following:
1. Critical thinking and media and information literacy
2. Media and social networks: Organization and analysis of information
3. The world of facts, opinions and disinformation
4. Flat Earth, alien lizards and fake moon landing: What are conspiracy theories?
5. The power of cause and effect
6. “Six Thinking Hats” technique: How to solve a problem from different perspectives?
7. Debates – practical application of critical thinking and media and information literacy
The application was created by the civic associations Center for educational initiatives “Step by Step” and “Why not” from Bosnia and Herzegovina. The organization “Danes je nov dan” from Slovenia is responsible for the technical implementation of the application. The development of the application was financed by the European Union.
