Finally. ONT activation made simple. The Calix Smart Activate app simplifies fiber-based GPON and point-to-point Gigabit Ethernet / Active Ethernet broadband provisioning by providing Communication Service Providers (CSPs) with an intuitive and easy to use provisioning interface, now available from the convenience of a mobile phone or tablet. The Smart Activate app is designed to work with the Calix 7xxGE optical network terminals (ONTs) and 8xxGE residential services gateway (RSGs). Simply connect a local access point (AP) to the ONT / RSG, join the Wi-Fi network, and launch the app. The Smart Activate app will automatically find the 7xxGE ONT / 8xxGE RSG, allowing you to simply enter the registration ID and touch the activate button. That’s it – activation complete! Connect the fiber optic cable and the ONT / RSG is ready to deliver broadband services.
