Stealth Safe is built for people who want strong encryption and real control over their data without depending on a centralized access service. The core idea is simple: your data is protected by cryptographic keys, not only by an app login screen. The PIN code is used for convenient access to your security profile and key management, but it does not replace the keys. If someone does not have the source keys for a vault, an encrypted file does not provide meaningful access to its contents. Why this matters: - No mandatory centralized access-management service. Stealth Safe does not require a third-party server to distribute permissions between users. - Direct sharing without a controlling middleman. Users can share decryption access to supported vaults while keeping control on their side. - Better resilience if a device is compromised. Even with access to device storage, an attacker sees encrypted containers and cannot reliably understand what is inside without the right keys. - Control over physical file placement. You choose where vault files are stored: locally, in iCloud, or in other folders available on your device. Stealth Safe also supports secure collaboration: the app helps transfer decryption rights and manage access, but it is not a file hosting service. A shared vault file must be placed in a folder available to all participants (for example iCloud Drive, Google Drive, OneDrive, or another shared directory), and each participant should add that folder path in settings on their device. Stealth Safe fits personal use, family scenarios, and careful teamwork where privacy, independence from third-party services, and control over who can actually decrypt data matter.
