SwatchSide is a local notebook for sewing test sessions. Save a baseline, make independent trials, compare the details you changed, and keep your preferred result easy to find.
COMPARE YOUR TRIALS
Record machine, material, layers, needle, thread, foot, stitch, length, width, and tension as they appear on your machine. Duplicate a trial to try a change without overwriting the original. Compare two trials and see which recorded fields differ.
SEE BOTH SIDES
Add optional front and back photos from your photo library, with descriptions and notes. The notebook also works without photos.
REMEMBER YOUR CHOICE
Mark your preferred trial and find it again by session, machine, or material. Your choice stays connected to its own recorded settings.
KEEP A COPY
Export a readable session PDF for reference. Save a separate full backup containing your records and photos, then restore it when needed. A restore replaces the current library after you confirm it.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No sign-in, ads, subscription, or analytics. Your sewing records stay in the app on your device unless you choose to export or share them. There is no automatic in-app cloud sync.
SwatchSide records your observations. It does not diagnose sewing-machine problems, recommend settings, or grade stitch quality. Settings are your own labels and are not standardized across machines.
For iPhone. Regularly export a full backup to keep an independent copy of your work.
