4Work is a time clock for people who keep track of their own working hours: in the office, at home or switching between both. One tap starts the day, your overtime balance is always in view, and vacation, sick days and public holidays live in one place.
TIME CLOCK
Clock in and out with a tap or a Shortcut. With Pro, a Live Activity and a ring in the Dynamic Island run along until the end of your day. Break rules deduct breaks the way you set them: at a fixed time, in a window after a number of hours worked, or when no time is known.
HOURS
Every day appears as a trail of light against its target: overtime shines, missing hours show in red. Switch between week and month, read overtime per week and month, correct any entry or break. An optional warning flags a day over your limit.
WORK SCHEDULES
Set weekly hours or hours per weekday, and let schedules change over time, for example part-time from March. Each schedule carries its own vacation days; days before a schedule starts are never counted as missing hours.
TIME OFF
Vacation taken, planned and still free, sick days, time off in lieu, special leave and days carried over. 4Work points out bridge days worth taking. Public holidays for every German federal state reduce your target automatically; the state and the half days on 24 and 31 December are set per work schedule. A sick day inside a vacation counts as sick and gives the vacation day back.
PLACES AND GOALS
Home office, office or your own places with an address. Set goals such as at least two office days a week or at most 60 % home office a month, and see whether you are on track.
TIMESHEETS
Make a monthly timesheet as PDF, with a preview before you share it, or as CSV, with your name and optional signature lines. The annual report shows your year as PDF or CSV. 4Work can create the report for every finished month on its own.
IPAD, MAC AND IPHONE DUO
The iPad shows week and month side by side, the day sheet as a column next to them. The Mac has its own window, a clock in the menu bar and a live proof of the timesheet; it only suggests clocking in. On a half-open iPhone Duo, the clock-in keys sit on the lower half. One purchase works on all three.
BACKUP AND SYNC
Backups on your device, automatic every week, with share and restore. Your data stays in step through your private iCloud, or only on this device (Settings › General).
PRIVACY
No account, no server of our own, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. Your location is compared with your own places on your device only. 4Work keeps no location history.
4WORK PRO
The first 30 days are free with every feature, without payment details. After that the time clock, hours, work schedules, time off, your first goal and Shortcuts stay free. 4Work Pro adds automatic clock-in and clock-out at your places, the morning question "Home office or office?", timesheet exports and monthly reports, widgets and the Live Activity, and more goals. Choose a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time purchase. Family Sharing is on. Prices vary by country and are shown before you buy.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. You manage them in your Apple Account settings.
Built for 4Work's home market: public holidays and the daily-limit hint follow German rules. Available in English, German, French, Spanish and Italian. For iPhone and iPad with iOS 26 or later, and Mac with macOS 26 or later.

4Work now runs on iPad and Mac, and it knows the iPhone Duo.
• iPad: week and month side by side on one time axis, the day sheet as a column next to them. ⌘↩ clocks in from the keyboard.
• Mac: its own window, clocking in from the menu bar and the Dock, the timesheet as a live proof to drag, print and share. The Mac only suggests clocking in; you decide.
• iPhone Duo: half open, the clock-in keys sit on the lower half. Closed, the outer display works in landscape.
• Annual report as PDF or CSV: days worked, time off, hours and vacation account, month by month. Find it in Settings › Timesheet.
• iCloud sync is your choice: your private iCloud or only this device. Settings › General.
• Public holidays and the rules for 24 and 31 December are now set per work schedule.
• One purchase works on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Changed
• Widgets and the Live Activity are now part of 4Work Pro. During the 30-day trial they work as before; after it, they need Pro.
Fixed
• Setting up a second device no longer overwrites the settings of the first.

• The editor for the entries of a day no longer vanishes right after it opens.
