Non-Stop, is an app to help children exercise whilst experiencing a condition called Perthes. Perthes disease is a condition affecting the hip joint in children when the blood supply to the growth plate at the end of the femur becomes inadequate . Many children recover from the disease without any surgical intervention but this often requires a strict regime of physiotherapy-led exercises which is often difficult to enforce in younger children. The app has a number of daily stretching and strengthening activities to help support a young person's care in clinic. Please note that the NON-STOP app is not a substitute for the assessment and individualised treatment by a healthcare professional.
