• Account: sign in with Apple to keep your learned words, course progress and streak in an account, and pick up where you left off on a new phone. Signing in is optional: without it, everything stays on this device. • Voice conversation: in Chat, tap the wave button and speak Tatar. Pause, and your message sends itself; your partner answers out loud. You can hide the text and practise by ear. • Streak freeze: once a week, a missed day won't reset your streak; the freeze kicks in on its own. You'll find it on the Streak screen. • Course part two, "Keep the conversation going": 16 lessons on the past and future, the city and everyday life, with a final test. It's an early draft, and the lesson texts are still being checked. • The evening reminder now tells you how many words are due for review, and the home screen shows how many words you've learned next to your streak. • Confetti for a good result, and clearer new audio for 137 words.

A pocket dictionary and a goal for your streak: • Dictionary: nearly 12,000 Tatar words with Russian translations, all available offline. Search in Russian or Tatar, in any word form: «китапларда» finds «китап». Open it from the home screen; the old Dictionary section is now called Words. • Streak screen: tap your streak on the home screen to see the last 7 days, your record and a goal of 7, 14, 30 or 50 days in a row. You can turn on the evening reminder there too. • Chat has a Level button: change how hard it talks without starting over. The message field now moves smoothly with the keyboard. • Clearer new audio for 45 words. • Fixed: the buttons no longer hide under the keyboard when you create a card, and the Chat greeting no longer slips under the header.

Smarter review and more lessons: • Smarter review: Chamala keeps track of how well you know each word and brings it back just as you start to forget it. Learned words return now and then so they stay learned. Your progress is kept. • Step by Step (experimental): short lessons with words, phrases, listening and speaking, plus a guide for every unit. • Today's lesson now brings back a phrase from the Course from Zero lessons you've passed and ends with a pronunciation task you can skip. The progress bar covers the whole lesson. • A new welcome and tips on the home screen. Show them again from Profile. • In Course from Zero, the final test opens once the last module is done. • Repeat and Flashcards switch modes from a menu at the top, and card sets now show only words with pictures. • Fixed: the Word of the Day widget on iPhone, the first Chat message hiding under the header, and the keyboard in the word report form.

A big update to For Kids: • Colouring pages: swap stars for animal colouring pages. Share sends an A4 sheet to your printer or a messenger. • 6 new picture stories, so every topic now has one. • A new Body topic, and 12 words in Animals. • The kids' words have new, clearer recordings. • Every topic has a "For grown-ups" tip for practising its words at home. • Arrows let you page through the alphabet, and wrong answers stay marked in stories. • For Kids is no longer experimental. Choose who is learning in Profile: for a child, For Kids comes first on the home screen. • Fixed: the new-card form no longer slides under the header when the keyboard opens, and the search tabs stay in place as you scroll.

What's new in Chamala 2.0.1 • Kids (experimental). An alphabet with audio and first words on animals, food, family and colours. Games: Find the Letter, Build a Word, Who's Hiding? and picture stories. Mistakes aren't penalised, and the section doesn't affect adult training progress. • Video lessons (experimental). Short grammar lessons with examples and exercises. • New Proverb of the Day widget: a fresh Tatar proverb on your home screen every day. • Save words from stories for review: tap a word and choose "Add to review". • Course quizzes now include reading questions, with the text shown right above the question. • Study reminders. After your first passed lesson, the app offers one evening notification, sent only on days you haven't studied yet. • Refreshed icons, better behaviour on weak connections, and bug fixes.
