Edit it in the bill editor. - Picking an emoji for an item is now a tap: a curated grid, plus a smart guess from the item's name. IMPROVED - Claim sheet items scroll under the participant card with a soft blur. - The claims summary shows a clear venue heading with the receipt date. - Amounts never wrap on the claims summary card. FIXED - Deleting a bill you didn't add in a folder you don't own no longer leaves an empty bill behind. The app now tells you who can delete it. - Several under-the-hood improvements.

A polish release for folders and Quick Splits. NEW - Settle up draws the payments: each person's colour branches out to everyone they owe, so who pays whom reads at a glance. - Saved Splits moved into the Quick Split card - tap the bookmark to see every split you've kept, shown as cards like your trips. - Saving a Quick Split now suggests the restaurant's name. - A quiet moment when a bill is fully claimed - and when a whole folder is. IMPROVED - Folders are noticeably smoother. - People in a Quick Split now scroll under the add buttons instead of cutting off. - The small widget shows how many people are in the folder. Claiming together just got a lot better. NEW - Live claims in shared folders: what your mates take now shows up on everyone's screen the moment they take it - no more tapping something that's already gone. If someone beats you to the last one, you'll know. - Claims save as you go, so nothing is lost if you close the sheet early. IMPROVED - The receipt calculator's operator keys now light up while an operation is waiting, so you can see what you've entered. - Delete, remove and discard confirmations are now clear centred alerts instead of floating bubbles. FIXED - Dragging the calculator around a receipt works reliably again. - Several under-the-hood improvements.

Trips that cross a border finally add up. NEW • Multi-currency: scan a receipt in euros, yen, dollars - anything - and it's converted to your folder's currency at that day's ECB rate. You see both amounts, always. Free for everyone • Home currency: set it once in Settings (onboarding asks new folks) - Quick Splits use it automatically, New Folder pre-selects it • Balances in…: any trip or Quick Split can switch currency from the ⋯ menu; every bill re-rates itself • The rate is yours to see: tap the chip on a foreign bill for the rate, its source and date - or type what your card actually charged. Settling up finally got its act together. • One Settle Up screen. "Who owes who" and the old pay button moved in together - every debt in one list, Pay and Request a tap away. • Receipts that look like receipts. What they had up top, what they owe at the bottom. Revolutionary, we know. • One selector, three views. Flip between the donut, the bar chart, and calories - no toggle-hunting. • It remembers now. Reopen the app and it won't forget everything like it just woke from a nap. Sorry about that one. • On the free plan and joined a split? It's in your history now - turns out you were owed that. Version 2.2 - the "so who owes who?" update. The maths after a group dinner has always been the worst part. We fixed that. Who owes who, sorted. Cheque-Mate now tracks who actually paid each bill - even when different people covered different rounds - and untangles the whole night into the fewest payments possible. No spreadsheets, no group-chat archaeology. Settle up, both ways. Whoever owes, pays - one tap, amount already filled in See it your way. Flip the results between the classic donut and a brand-new bar chart - handy for spotting who went a little harder on the cocktails. Payment links from your contacts. Pop a friend's PayPal or Revolut link into their contact card as a url and Cheque-Mate just… finds it. Read on your device, never uploaded - we're nosy about bills, not your address book. Pay via PayPal, Revolut, Monzo, Venmo, Cash App, or a plain bank transfer. Still no account required, and friends without an iPhone can still join from the web.
