A new song player menu: - A cleaner menu with grouped buttons and clear labels, in the same style as the rest of the app. - New Tracks panel: switch the music and each instrument track on or off. - New View panel: choose the note highway, the drum sheet or both, and adjust light and speed. - New Sections panel: play or loop any part of the song. - On phones, extra controls are tucked away behind a More button. - The menu hides by itself while you play, and the lyrics move to the top of the screen. Tap anywhere or tap the arrow button to bring it back. You can turn this off in Settings. Better drum sheet: - Rests are shown where you don't play: whole, half, quarter, eighth, sixteenth and 32nd rests. You can hide the bass drum rests or turn rests off in Settings. Songs in 6/8, 9/8, 12/8 and cut time (2/2) are now written the right way. - Tap a note in the drum sheet to jump to that part of the song. - The view you choose is kept for your next songs. - The drum sheet no longer jumps back to the start when you pause. - The drum sheet no longer covers the score and the clock. Song select: - Auto play next and Shuffle are now simple on/off switches. - The selected song is shown with an orange outline. - A larger scrollbar handle makes long song lists easier to scroll. - Small layout fixes for iPhone and iPad. Also new: - The recording controls moved to the top right, away from the note highway. - The help pages show the new menu. - Tablets in landscape no longer have extra empty space at the top of the screen.

NEW • Record your performance: tap record while playing and Drum Strike records your drums through the microphone, together with the music. Find your recordings in the new RECORDINGS tab. • Create your own mix for each recording: microphone and music volume, latency and which tracks to include. Play the mix, export it to MP3 or share it right away. • Drum Strike is now available in English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish and Italian. • Random lists: choose from all songs, favorites, most played songs or a single artist. Exclude artists and give songs a thumbs up or down. • New PRACTICE tab for practice songs. • Choose which tracks of multitrack songs are on by default, for example leave the drums out to play along yourself. You can switch them back on while playing. • New setting to start songs with the music muted. • Pick your highway, background image and video from a carousel with previews. Added a Random songs section that instantly creates a playlist of random songs to play. Use the refresh button to create a new list. The minimum size of the random list can be set in the settings menu. Added options to include or exclude specific artists or folders when generating the list of random songs. Added an optional clock to display the current time while playing. Made several minor visual improvements and interface refinements.

Customisation Options: A new Visuals group has been added to the Settings menu. You can now add your own highway and background images to the Customs folder and select your preferred image directly from the Settings menu. Improved Sorting: A new dropdown has been added, allowing you to sort items by additional criteria, including Creation Date, Last Played Date and Highest Score. Flames: You can now enable a special flame animation in the Settings menu. For example, in song charts a combination of red and yellow notes are used for a flame on the snare, but now these two notes are replaced by a single note with a flame animation. Improved visuals: Slightly improved visuals and animations in the Song Player. Fixed an issue which prevented the display of the lyrics.

In some note charts the snare and high hat notes were flipped during an interval (called 'disco flip'). This is now fixed: snare always stays on the red lane and high hat always stays on the yellow lane.

We've improved the note chart parser and fixed multiple issues in the song player. Added a new configuration setting to always disable the crowd sound on multitrack music charts. Increased the font size in portrait mode on iPhone devices.

Improved graphics for a smoother visual experience. Added support for the old 5-lane chart format. Added labels for multitrack (M) and 5-lane (5L) charts in the song list for easier navigation.

You can now easily play along to any MP3 file in your collection, even if there are no associated note charts! This feature is perfect for practicing or jamming to tracks without notes (like drum practice samples). To set it up, create a new folder inside the main DrumStrike directory and drop your MP3 files there. The new folder name will appear under the Artists tab for easy selection and playback. All standard player features—including A/B looping and speed controls, giving you full control over the highway in chart-free mode. Minor bugs have also been addressed in this release.

Improved note hit detection for a more responsive experience. The progress bar now turns green while playing if your note accuracy surpasses your current high score.
