SkinVision is a medical service that provides an immediate risk assessment.
Skin checks with our clinically validated technology are affordable and potentially covered by your health insurance provider. You can buy a single risk assessment or purchase unlimited checks to effectively monitor your moles for 3 or 12 months (no subscription).
You can use some features of SkinVision for free, including our risk profile and skin type quizzes, storing images of your moles, and accessing UV information in your area.
Skin cancer is a global and growing problem. It’s estimated that 1 in 5 people will develop it in their lifetime. More people are diagnosed with skin cancer each year than all other cancers combined.
Early detection is key to prevention and timely treatment. In fact, over 95% of skin cancers can be successfully treated if they are found early. This is why dermatologists recommend performing skin checks every 3 to 6 months. Now you can do this simply with SkinVision on your smartphone.
Our checks use an algorithm to assess your mole or skin spot for cancerous signs. Our service is quality assured by our team of dermatology experts. Our users have received more than 6 million risk assessments.
The SkinVision app is a regulated medical device with European CE marking (EU MDR Class IIa). We care about your privacy and are ISO certified for information security and medical device management. SkinVision is trusted by insurance companies worldwide for the early detection of skin cancer. SkinVision has partnerships with leading health insurers, cancer clinics, and research universities in the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, the Netherlands, and New Zealand.

A year ago, my wife observed a dark brown colour mole with irregular edges on the left hand side of her torso.I immediately searched for an app that can detect skin melanomas. There were a couple but SKINVISION app seemed an authentic and serious app.I downloaded the app, installed it and after opening it, I followed the instructions and dispached the pic. After a short time I received a report and warning to see a doctor within four weeks. Later, another warning suggested to see a doctor eithin days.In fact she was seen by a dermayologist who incised the mole area for histological report. To our surprise it turned to be a grade one melanoma. Thanks to SKINVISION app my wife skin cancer has diappeared and is still being followed up every four months.

It has become so easy for me to monitor changes to my skin. The app is helping me to check upon moles that I consider to be high risk. I want to track their developments. Using the app is a small price to pay, rather than facing the consequences of late diagnosis
Developer Response

Make you pay before testing it. Doesn’t work well with men due to hair and when you do get a scan, app tells you it has to refer to an expert.
Developer Response
Thank you for sharing this — I’m really sorry the experience felt disappointing to you 🙏 SkinVision is a certified medical device, so scans are part of a paid service unless your insurer covers it. We understand that can feel frustrating. Hair can indeed make photo-taking harder, and in those cases our AI may refer the image to a dermatologist — that’s to keep you safe and ensure accuracy, not to upsell anything. If you’re open to it, please message us at support@skinvision.com. We can share practical tips for taking clear photos and look into your case to help you get a smoother experience 💚
We’ve made bug fixes and performance improvements to make your experience even better.
