在钢笔圈，笔友们是否遇到一个极为烦恼的问题，黑色墨水种类太多，某支钢笔的墨水用完之后，不确定原先装的是什么墨水，无奈之下只好洗笔。洗笔后一般会残留水分，一来可能会污染墨水瓶内的墨水，二来会稀释钢笔内的墨水导致墨迹变浅，影响书写体验；更有甚者，某些笔友洗笔时不慎把昂贵的14k笔尖掉落下水道...
不可否认一些的笔友会拿笔记本记下来，或者记录在手机表格软件里，但实际上操作并不是很好用，比如说换墨或者删除钢笔，笔记本篇幅有限写不了太多或遗失，手机表格软件里操作一是设计粗糙缺乏美感，二是删除修改有可能影响别的内容而无法恢复。
钢笔墨APP是一款专门记录钢笔墨水的软件工具，除了记录钢笔和墨水，还记录钢笔的状态（使用中和已清洗）、上墨日期、状态持续时间及超长时间提醒。用户可以添加钢笔，添加完成之后，操作每一支钢笔的上墨、清洗、换墨、设为日用及删除功能。
作为玩笔的一员，除了日常使用钢笔写写字外，我们同样对下一支新的钢笔充满期待。钢笔墨app的找笔板块分为3种分类：好价、好笔、新笔。好价是某些电商平台的钢笔促销活动，好笔是笔友分享自己喜欢的钢笔，新笔就是新上市的钢笔。”找笔“板块的所有信息均由笔友发布，下面的评论区则是笔友交流的区域，希望大家多多认识新的朋友。
除此之外，笔友也可以在钢笔圈板块发布一些自己关于钢笔的想法，或者寻求笔友的帮助。
