What's New in 1.14.35 iPad support — Fishmarks now runs full-screen on iPad and rotates to landscape, so it's great mounted at the helm. Send a list as a "copy" — Give a friend their own independent copy of a list (or any selection of marks). It lands in a new list on their end, named after yours, with no ongoing sync — your later changes won't affect their copy. Accept shares right on your phone — Incoming list invitations and marks people send you now appear in your Notifications bell. Accept or decline a shared list, or a copy of marks, without switching to the website. Share via Message — From the map's multi-select Actions, send marks as a shareable link through Messages, email, or anywhere else. Manage shared lists — Remove someone from a list you've shared, with the option to leave them their own copy of the marks so they keep what they had. Edit descriptions in bulk — Select multiple marks and add or replace their description in one step. Polish & fixes — The map's multi-select Actions bar matches the rest of the app, and importing GPX files no longer creates duplicate marks.

OFFLINE EVERYTHING Fishmarks is now far more reliable when you're out of cell range: • Man Overboard works offline — your MOB mark is saved instantly and syncs when you reconnect. • Assign marks to lists offline using the rectangle select tool — changes persist and sync later. • Edit catches offline (length, weight, method, caught by) — saves no longer disappear. • Lock and unlock tracks offline, and manage them right from the Track edit page. • Report an Issue queues your message when offline instead of failing. SEE YOUR SYNC STATUS • A new OFFLINE indicator appears at the bottom of the screen so you always know when you're disconnected. • Sync Data and Sync Queue are now one menu item — "Sync" — that shows exactly what's pending and lets you push everything with a tap. • Clearer offline messages on My QR Code, Refer a Friend, Float Plans, Trip People, and Recent Activity. ABOUT THE AUTHOR The About page now includes a personal note from the creator — why Fishmarks exists, what problem it solves, and a sincere thank-you to paid subscribers who keep the lights on. Float Plans — a USCG-style safety document for your trip. Build a plan with vessel details, people onboard, planned spots, and emergency contacts, then send it to one or more "holders" on land. If you don't check in by your expected return time, holders get an escalation email so help can reach you. Free for every tier — this is a real safety tool, not a paid feature. Build from a recent trip or start fresh, edit and activate from your phone, and add holders mid-flight. Quick Catch — a streamlined sheet for fast on-the-water catch logging, accessible from the More+ menu. Species, length and weight with built-in rulers, paired photo buttons, optional notes. Designed for one-handed use while the fish is still in the boat. Marquee + lasso multi-select on the map — drag a rectangle or freehand-trace a shape to select multiple marks at once, including everything inside touched clusters. Then run bulk actions: Add to List, Send to Friend, Export GPX, Symbol Mapping, Rename with {n} sequencing, Bulk Tag, or Delete. Bulk operations now batch their database calls in parallel — a 78-mark update that used to take half a minute finishes in seconds. Offshore reliability — edits and waypoint changes are queued locally if your connection drops, and auto-drain when you're back in range. Writes fast-fail instead of hanging the UI, photo loading times out cleanly, and stale sessions hold open offshore instead of silently signing you out and clearing your cache. Collapsible map toolbars — both edge toolbars fold to thin chevron tabs with group labels (LAYERS / TOOLS / ZOOM on the right, MARKS on the left). Pin them open if you want, or let them auto-collapse to give the map full screen width. New users get pinned by default. Plus distance-from-current-location on the mark detail, "More from us" links in About, keyboard-aware sheet sizing across the app, and dozens of small UI consistency fixes.

What's New in v1.14.1 (4000 char limit — release notes for this version) Built for offshore. Anglers told us Fishmarks sometimes got stuck when they were miles from shore, so we rebuilt how the app behaves when signal is weak or gone: • Stay logged in offshore — closing and reopening the app no longer kicks you to the login screen when there's no signal to refresh your session. • Saves never hang. Editing a mark's description, depth, water temp, or notes works instantly even without service. Your changes apply locally and sync the moment you're back in range. • Faster cold start. The "Getting things ready" overlay no longer appears when your cached marks are ready to show — open the app and you're on the map. • Smarter photo loading. The photo strip on a mark's detail screen no longer spins forever when there's no signal. • Auto-sync on reconnect. What's new in 1.13.3 • iOS performance improvement with more than 3,000 marks in view at a time • Encryption now syncs between Connect and the Fishmarks web app — set your passphrase once on the web, unlock anywhere. • Map labels ramp up smoothly as you zoom in, no more abrupt jumps from "none" to "all" when you cross a marker-count threshold. • Connect will offer to enable clustering with one tap when your map starts feeling slow with lots of marks. • Share Catch is now Social Share — refreshed icon, and the generated share image gives more space to your photo and less to text and logos. • Route distance labels (per-segment and total) now only show when you're zoomed in to a route, keeping the map cleaner when panning past. • Loading screen rotates through quick reminders of Connect's features — chartplotter sync, web-app pairing, friend sharing, weather, and more. • Profile menu reorganized — Help and About moved for easier navigation.

We've made logging a catch a whole lot smarter, and reorganized the app to make daily use feel cleaner. What's new • Per-catch conditions — every catch now records the conditions at that exact spot and time: tide state and flow rate, moon phase and illumination, wind, sky, water and air temp, sea state, and pressure trend. Open any catch detail to see them. • Pick on Map — drop a pin visually on a fresh map view to set the catch or mark location. Perfect for onshore catches and logging after the fact when GPS isn't where the fish were. • Smart "Caught By" — type to find your saved anglers and friends, or enter a new name and we'll save it for next time. • Tap your profile picture to navigate — the gear icon is gone. Your photo in the top-right now opens a focused menu: My Profile, My Data, Refer a Friend, Help, and About. • Inline mark editing — tap the name or icon at the top of a mark to edit them right there. No more digging through form fields. • Location front and center — the catch form's Location picker is now right under Species, and the nearest mark to you gets a "Nearest:" tag in the list. • Refreshed marker icons — 43 new symbols across the same color palette. What's new in this update: • Share marks via Messages and email with a tappable preview link — recipients on Fishmarks can choose which list to import them into, or add them to a brand-new list right from the share screen. • A "Done" button now appears above the keyboard everywhere in the app — tap it to dismiss the keyboard from any field, including number pads and multi-line notes. • Cleaner top toolbar with the logo front and center on smaller iPhones. Sync and Help moved to Settings to keep the toolbar uncluttered. • Sign-in and sign-up screens now scroll smoothly on smaller iPhones and at larger text sizes. • Mark coordinates show on two lines so they always read cleanly, even with long mark names. • Optional larger tap targets for marks on the map (Settings → Preferences).
