A simpler top bar: Two buttons now do the main work: Conversation for face-to-face captions with a typing box, and Listen for full-screen captions. Everything else: Notes, History, Saved conversations, Settings, and the choice between on-device and AI transcription is under the "…" button. Paragraphs: Captions break into paragraphs when the room pauses, so a long conversation reads like a page instead of one block. Steadier group sessions: With several phones sharing, a long conversation no longer clears or replays on the other screens. The cloud voice gains a second style.

SplitChatter's biggest update yet. • Nearby Sharing is now instant: connecting two (or more) phones used to take minutes away from Wi-Fi, and now takes about a second. Connections are encrypted, and each phone you approve is remembered individually. • In shared conversations, each person's name appears in its own color. • A redesigned Settings page: your sharing status up top, text size and appearance right on the page, everything else in four clear sections. • Steadier captions: transcription now recovers in moments when your phone moves between Wi-Fi and cellular. • Enhanced AI (paid feature) learns the names of people in your room, and you can teach it your own words with Custom Vocabulary. • New Tip Jar in Settings. SplitChatter is free and always will be; tips unlock nothing and mean everything.
