Scan with DocOne Express: on iPhone, launch the companion app from PDFOne and import your scanned pages. More reliable app handoff: completed scans can be recovered when you return to PDFOne, without duplicate imports. Search scanned documents: find words even on image-only pages using on-device text recognition. Clearer search feedback: see when a search is running, with results refreshed when the document changes. More reliable PDF imports: opening, adding and replacing pages now include extra safeguards, including when an operation is interrupted. Better handling of complex PDFs: get a warning before importing or exporting pages if bookmarks, forms or attachments may not be kept. Original-file protection: operations that would strip security from encrypted PDFs are prevented. Safer saving: unchanged PDFs stay intact, and files modified elsewhere are not overwritten without checking. Document details retained: where possible, edited copies keep the original PDF's title, author and other information. Safer saving. Overwriting updates only the original file when available, protecting changes made while saving is in progress. Optimized search and import. Better iPad and sharing experience. iPad windows use independent sessions, and temporary sharing files are managed separately. More intuitive page management. Added the ability to tap empty space to deselect all pages or, when inserting a photo with no active selection, append it to the document. Cleaner Settings. The What's New section starts collapsed, and newly created documents are identified as “Untitled document”.

Easier photo editing: Photos can now be rotated and resized directly with two fingers. They can also be enlarged beyond the page edges; anything outside the sheet is simply cropped in the final PDF. • More predictable overlapping content: When photos, text and signatures overlap, the photo stays behind, text stays above the photo, and the signature remains on top. Preview and saved PDF use the same order. • Smaller and faster photo-heavy PDFs: The app automatically optimizes images used in PDFs. When needed, it tries progressively stronger compression to keep the file around or below 10 MB, without rasterizing or degrading the original PDF’s text and vector content. • Clearer handling of large shared files: If the PDF is still above 10 MB after optimization, the app shows its actual size before sharing and lets you continue or cancel. • Automatic names for saved and shared files: New files created with Save a Copy, Save Selection or Share use progressive names such as Doc-01, Doc-02 and Doc-03. The number advances only after a successful operation and restarts from Doc-01 when the app is launched again. Overwrite keeps the current document name. • More direct page deletion: Pressing and holding a page number now offers Delete for that specific page. The action can still be undone. • Smoother opening, importing and exporting: Internal optimizations reduce blocking work during thumbnail creation, PDF opening, photo import, saving and export, especially with larger documents or images. • Reliability fixes: A problem where Add → From Photos could fail to show the photo picker on an empty document was fixed. Undo/redo state handling and thumbnail processing were also strengthened.

Edit existing text — Double-tap selectable PDF text to change it directly. More faithful appearance — Edited text tries to keep the original font, size, color, and style. More accurate alignment — Edited text follows the original text line and shows alignment guides while you edit. Consistent result — Preview, saved PDF, and reopened document use the same edited text. Updated search — PDFOne ignores replaced text and finds the new text.

Added full support for Traditional Chinese (Taiwan), available from Settings. Improved app localization: confirmation text and app information in Settings now correctly follow the selected language. Fixed the page count shown when extracting multiple pages from a stack: the actual number of pages is now displayed. No changes to the main PDF editing, saving or exporting features, navigation, gestures or layout.

Full iPad support. PDFOne evolved from an essentially iPhone-focused experience to native iPad support, including portrait and landscape orientations, resizable windows, Split View, Stage Manager, mouse, trackpad and major keyboard shortcuts. Adaptive large-screen interface. Grid, Carousel, List, toolbars and Search adapt to the actual window size. On iPad, Grid defaults to 3 columns while pinch zoom can naturally change page density. More reliable page long-press and reordering. Several iPad cases where pages could no longer be selected or moved—especially after editing or at dense Grid zoom levels—were addressed with more accurate interaction geometry. More consistent stacks. Page selection, stack creation, stack release and reordering received multiple stability improvements across iPhone and iPad. Consistent haptic feedback. Page selection/deselection, stack creation, stack release and signature insertion now request haptic feedback when supported by the hardware. New iPad Settings panel. Settings are presented as a left-side drawer between the top and bottom toolbars. Tapping the gear again closes it and discards unconfirmed changes. Build 328 rounds the top-right and bottom-right corners. More reliable page editing. Edited pages correctly refresh their previews and interaction state. When multiple pages are selected, Edit opens the first selected page in document order. Fixed edited-page thumbnails. The white-thumbnail issue after adding text or signatures was addressed by composing previews from the original PDF page plus editable overlays. iPad startup and thumbnail optimizations. Progressive work scheduling, limited PDF rendering concurrency and moving part of thumbnail rendering away from the UI thread were introduced to reduce startup and Grid-loading stalls. Reworked edited-PDF saving. Version 1.4.0 fixes cases where an edited document could report “Unable to save PDF”. Editable elements are now applied to one working page and the final PDF is serialized once. Fully editable photos. Imported photos are placed on a white PDF page and can be moved, proportionally resized, duplicated and deleted. Export preserves their final position and size, and PDFOne can recognize them again after reopening the file. Full-bleed app icon. The icon no longer contains baked-in borders or margins; iOS/iPadOS provides the final system mask. Carousel capabilities preserved. The build 310 features—PDF rendering up to 5× zoom and double tap to reset to 1×—remain available.

Page rotation: you can now rotate selected pages and entire page stacks left or right while preserving their content, signatures, and edits. Quick page actions: touch and hold a page badge to quickly rotate, replace, or edit that page. Page stacks also provide more complete contextual actions. More flexible PDF replacement: a single page or an entire stack can now be replaced with a PDF containing one or multiple pages, inserted at the same position in the document. Document search: search for words and phrases in available PDF text, annotations, and text added with PDFOne. Easily move between previous and next results, with the current match highlighted even when it is inside a stack. Search does not use OCR. Password-protected PDFs: protected PDFs can now be unlocked directly in the app. Password support is available when opening, adding, replacing, or managing PDFs inside stacks. Save selected pages only: the Actions menu can create a new PDF containing only the selected pages without changing the document currently open. Improved display of rotated stacks: page stacks containing rotated pages are now displayed with better visual alignment, including landscape pages. Improved efficiency: unnecessary processing has been reduced during reordering, grid display, signature handling, and thumbnail generation. Work that is no longer needed can also stop earlier. Improved stability and maintenance: internal build issues were corrected, unused code was removed, and the app’s internal structure was improved without changing expected behavior.
