Clearer messages when something goes wrong, including whose side the problem is on and what you can do about it. A simple way to update when your version is too old to keep working. From that update screen you can still delete your account or manage your subscription.

A brand new way to meet Anima. Pick her voice, choose what she wears, tell her what you love to talk about and a little about how you are. Your very first conversation already feels like she knows you. Setup now comes in English, Spanish and Japanese, and she replies in your language from the start.

After your first talk, she asks in her own words if you'd like her to check in on you now and then. Say yes and iOS asks for permission next. If check ins are off, your journal shows a quiet card to turn them on. Settings has a new Tell us section, and you can rate AnimaEcho from there.

Open her wardrobe and change what she's wearing. Pick an outfit, add tights or knee socks, and she'll tell you what she thinks. Ren has a few new looks too. Try anything on for free; keeping it comes with AnimaEcho+. Hear every voice before you choose one in Settings. She reacts in more ways when you tap her, and there's a new place to hang out by the pool. Before your first talk, we now tell you what goes to Google Gemini and ask for your OK.

A quick age check, clearer subscription terms, and our terms and privacy policy one tap away in Settings.

Can't talk right now? Text her instead. Tap the keyboard next to the mic and the conversation carries on in messages. Switch back to talking whenever you like, and she remembers both. She says hello again every time you open the app. Where you are now lives in Things to do.

She answers faster. A lot faster. Let go of the mic and she's talking in about a second. Step away in the middle of a conversation and it waits for you. Come back within half an hour and she picks up right where you left off. She keeps the things that matter, and shows you when she does. Rather she didn't? Tap Undo. Tap a check in and she starts from that message, not a generic hello. Works better with VoiceOver and large text.

AnimaEcho+ is here. Talk with Anima for as long as you want, every day, with no timer running. Anima stays free with 3 minutes a day. If you want more, you can subscribe from Settings or from the minutes screen, and restore a purchase any time you change phones. Titles across the app are set a little tighter.

Anima now comes as her or him. Same name, two different people. Pick on your first day, or switch any time in Settings. He has his own voice and his own way of talking. Check ins. A few short messages a day, at random times, never while you sleep, and never the same line twice. You choose how many. A fresh look. White, blue, and nothing between you and Anima. No tabs, just the two of you and the place you picked.

Anima is not a screen full of features any more. You open the app and she is standing there, full size, in a room. That is the whole app now. The tabs are gone. Hold the mic and talk. Let go and she answers. No typing, no prompts, nothing to learn. Pick where the two of you are. Nine places, from her room late at night to a rainy street to sakura all afternoon. Every one of them moves a little. The journal keeps what you talked about: conversations you can reopen, what she remembers about you, and the days you have shown up. New look everywhere, white and blue, built around the way she is drawn. New icon as well.
