A whole new night sky. The stars are real now: 41,000 of them, at their true positions and colours, with the Milky Way crossing the sky at its real angle. The Crab Pulsar spins, Betelgeuse boils, and the black hole at the centre of our galaxy has never looked better. Getting around is easier. Tap any world in the new strip at the bottom to fly straight there, and zoom out once to leave the Solar System. Fewer buttons, a simpler Settings page, and plenty of small fixes.

Cleaner planets. Earth, the Moon and Mars now arrive uncluttered. The markers that sat over their surfaces are off by default, so you can turn a world and simply look at it. When you want them back, switch on "Facts & place markers" in Settings. The places button still opens every place, exactly as before — nothing has been taken away.

A big update built from our explorers' feedback: • QUESTS, now with levels — 20 missions from Starter to Master: find the rocky planets, solve riddles like the six-sided storm, and earn gold-star stamps for perfect runs. Wrong guesses get a friendly hint, never a buzzer. • The narrator praises every step, then pauses — and a new voice setting (Full / Adaptive / Off) reads each fact aloud just once, with a replay button. • Explore faster: a places button jumps you to 120+ real places on Earth, Mars and the Moon in one tap. • Wider cards on iPad, animations on every planet card, a movable show panel, and deeper NASA-sourced facts on all four giant planets.
