- Playback bar - press Play and a bar appears at the bottom. Change the sound (new brass synth), tempo and accompaniment while listening, and drag the bar wherever you like
- Key up, Key down - transposes by a semitone from the chosen bar to the end. Melody, chords and key signature move together and accidentals are rewritten
- Key signature per bar - Pick key signature, Remove key change. Transposing a selection adds the new key at its first bar and restores the old key after it
- Color - notes, rests, symbols, sections and chords are placed in the color you pick in the pen menu. You can also recolor a selection in one tap
- Even out barlines, Tidy spacing - one button each in the Measures tools
- Align by note value now keeps accidentals next to their notes
- Open - add photos and PDFs as new pages while you are editing
- iPhone - large panels dock as a sheet at the bottom and the pen menu fits the screen
- Voice search - understands every category and button name, and common short words. Fixed sound stopping after voice search
- The new layout is now the only layout

- Metronome and tuner can be open together
- New layout - only the essentials on top (New, Open, Save, My scores, Studio Pack, Play, Performance) and the score uses the whole screen
- Grouped tools - tap Notes, Symbols, Measures, Chords, Sections, Score setup or Pen on the left and its options open above. Long-press a tool panel and drag to move it

- Score playback: hear placed notes and MIDI scores with the Play button at the bottom. Notes light up as they sound and pages turn automatically. Select a note to start from that bar.
- Chord comping: reads chord symbols and adds an EP pad and bass (1 & 3, hold, every beat, off). Repeats, 1st/2nd endings and D.S./D.C. are played as written.
- 4 playback tones: EP, flute, saxophone, synth (synthesized, no files).
- MIDI import: open a .mid file and it becomes a score. Engraving-grade spacing, key signature detection, pages added automatically.
- Follow bars: in stage mode the current bar is highlighted in time with the metronome (count-in included, auto page turn). COUNTDOWN now only counts rests.
- 11 transposing instruments: C, B-flat, E-flat, F, A, G, D, 8va, 8vb from a list. Transposition is one undo step.
- Pen feel: the ink stays closer to the pencil (draw-ahead prediction), slow-stroke smoothing, a tap makes a dot.
- Eraser: remove a single note from a beam group or a single head from a chord. Notes placed by rhythm tools leave a rest of the same length.
1.13 8 sep
- Rhythm Tap: tap along with the metronome and the rhythm becomes notation. Hold for long notes, 2 bars, re-record from an undo. Big count numbers, first-tap start and latency calibration for beginners
- Transposed view: one button cycles C, B-flat, E-flat. The score itself never changes; it shows in your instrument key (chords and key signature included; drums stay put)
- Key signature space: automatic placement leaves room for the key signature, and the transposed view nudges a line if notes would overlap it
- Multi-measure rest: a thick bar with a number that fills the measure. Long-press to change the count
- Performance countdown: the screen counts your rest bars and shows START. Drag the number anywhere, tap to cancel
- Speed Trainer: the metronome raises the BPM every few bars up to your target
- Unified drum notation: tapped and recorded scores now look the same. Triplet fills are grouped automatically
- Photo scores: cut and merge no longer clip at page edges or outside the photo
- iPhone: long-press any symbol to open its menu

Real drum sound - studio-recorded kick, snare, toms, hats and cymbals are now built in. Switch to the electronic kit anytime with the tone button.
Bigger drum recording - 2-bar patterns and a count-in of 2, 4 or 8. New gold UNDO removes just your last take or overdub layer, notation tools collapse away, and an expand view makes tapping easier.
Performance mode - tap the page number to switch full/half page, tap the left or right of the screen to turn pages (great on phones). Full-page mode snaps page by page.
Two-finger undo now works after using the pen, and stray palm strokes are blocked (Finger drawing in pen settings).
Open the user guide right from the app. The bundle is no longer offered when you already own packs.

New: Drum Pack
- Tap the STAGE view or the drum pads to record one bar, and it is written out as standard drum notation.
- Overdub to stack hi-hat, snare and kick layer by layer.
- Tone, tempo and volume are adjusted right inside the kit.
New: Kids Music Play Pack
- Solfege stickers: 7 shapes (including two characters), 4 fonts, 8 praise stamps.
- Pick the shape color, text color and size freely.
Guitar and bass TAB now carries rhythm
- Rhythm stems and beams are drawn under the TAB numbers: whole to 32nd, dots, 3-9 tuplets and beam grouping.
The staff pen is for editing imported scores
- On a photo or PDF score you imported, drag to lay a 5-line staff over that span (auto-levelled).
- Notes you place on it snap to its lines and spaces.
Also
- Fixed the sudden loss of sound. Audio keeps working after locking the screen or switching apps, and plays even with the silent switch on.
- Clef placement was re-measured to standard and drum notation now follows the two-voice convention. Rests never overlap notes.
- Double-tap a text you placed to change its wording, font and size.
- Fixed edits reverting to an earlier state, and fast repeated taps are no longer dropped.

- Chord progression library - 29 patterns across Jazz, Pop, R&B, Ballad, Rock and Latin. Preview by ear, tap a bar and they drop in one per bar. Change the key and everything follows. All free
- Chord stacking, rebuilt - tap the same spot on any beamed or tuplet note to stack a chord. Order no longer matters, and seconds are offset the way real engraving does it. Works the same on imported photo/PDF scores
- Better engraving - beam slants and spacing follow standard rules, tuplets auto-space evenly when completed, and grace notes are here
- Stronger area select - grab a selection and move it as one (keep pitch or move it too), move with a finger, and a new box always starts a new selection
- Transparent scores for video - imported photo/PDF scores can now export with a transparent background for overlaying on performance videos
- Steadier input - fast repeated taps no longer vanish, 12 staves by default, the tool palette scrolls vertically only, a white pen color, and undo after erasing is rock-solid

Edit photo/PDF scores - cut out a region, move or erase it, then merge it into the photo
4-part grand staff and printed clefs - great for choral scores. Add staves and pages matching your current score
Better tuplets - 3, 5, 6, 7, 9. Pick the number, tap that many notes and they group automatically
Cue sheet - keep a run sheet beside your score and import songs from Session Note in the order you tap
Align 2.0 - spacing by note value, tidy barlines, and white-ink transparent export for videos
Instrument name stamps, multi-line text, save prompt when switching scores, steadier pen and touch
1.08 8 ago
Metronome - follows the score tempo, 8 time signatures, selectable beat unit, 4 click sounds
Tuner - check your pitch with the mic, calibration 435-446Hz, transposing instruments (Bb, Eb, F)
Now opens on iPhone - tablets are still recommended, but you can review and practise on the go
Share a setlist as a single PDF - bandmates without BSN can open it too
Smoother handwriting - no more stalls during long strokes, move a staff, auto-fix for older scores
