Extra! Extra! Bit Buddy releases minor update to support iOS 26! Read all about it! New in Bit Buddy 2.7 • The main app icon and several areas of Bit Buddy, including home screen widgets, have been updated to support iOS 26's latest design language. • Additional cloud providers have been added to the aptly named "Cloud Providers" section in Settings. • Support and documentation have been updated to more up-to-date sources. • Even more bugs have been squashed in an effort to create the bugless utopia known as "Bit Buddy Prime." Holy toledo, it's been a while since we last checked in, hasn't it?! We hope you didn't miss us too much! To help remedy any hard feelings, we've whipped up a fun update for you. Can we tell you more? • Device Age: Bit Buddy can now track your device's age! If you don't enter a date when adding the device, Bit Buddy chooses the current date. • Home Server Guides: Homelabs are all the rage these days, so why not get up to speed on them? • Parent Devices*: Rejoice! You can now mark which devices are plugged into which! • Maintenance Schedule*: Maintenance Logs just got an upgrade. Bit Buddy now support Maintenance Schedules, allowing you to easily create new maintenance tasks. • Notification Support: A schedule isn't any good if it doesn't remind you, right? Well, Bit Buddy now has notifications to remind you of your upcoming maintenance tasks! • Icons & Gradients*: As always, new icons and app gradients are available for Bit Buddy "Pro" members. • Design Tweaks: We're always making changes to Bit Buddy's design to make things feel less janky. Progress! • Bug Fixes: Turns out, the last bug guys weren't all that great. We found some critters hiding under some crannies, but they're gone now! Hopefully. Oh, and the typos are gone too! In this update: • Introducing Bit Buddy "Pro": For a one-time payment, unlock access to every existing feature, icon, and priority support—and all future updates, too! • SD Card Pool*: Give your SD cards a new home with the all-new SD Card Pool! Complete with new functionality and useful stats! • App Gradients: For far too long you've been locked into one color for Bit Buddy. Well no more! Swap out the gradients for your choice of 6 (!) beautiful options!* • Stats Widgets: Not only are there more widgets, but you can now reorder the widgets in whichever way you'd like! • Alternate Icons: Tired of the same icons? Meet Inverted, Chevron, Bitsy, Letter, and Pro, our new icons with light, dark, and tint mode variants!* • New Tips: With the new SD Card Pool, we added new guides related to SD Card management. We also tidied up some of the UI and incorporated some gradient features. • Long Press: Long press on the "+" or new SD Card Pool buttons to quickly start adding a new device. • App Analytics: This update introduces app analytics to better support users and diagnose bugs. You won't believe what we've cooked up for this update... • Overhauled Design: We've been making design tweaks since Version 1.1.0, and Version 2.0 brings a complete, and we mean complete, redesign to just about every corner of Bit Buddy! Dashboard? New. Tips? New. Settings? New. Device views? New. Like we said, just about everywhere. • Tags: When adding a new device, enter tags to differentiate better and identify devices! • List Filtering: Sort looked lonely, so we added Filter, for those with an abundance of devices. No shame! • Customization: The new design is very different from previous versions, so we added the ability to go back to other designs! • Faster Adjustments: We've improved used storage to be even quicker to increase or decrease. Just click into a device, tap the "USED" item, and drag! • More Tips: We've added new tips for cloud storage and NAS routines worth trying! • Alternate Icons: With iOS 18 approaching, we've begun sunsetting our alternate icons (for now) and introduced a(nother) new default icon! • Bug Fixes: We found a few bugs hiding in the last version of Bit Buddy, so we sprayed some bug spray to (hopefully) remove em! What's poppin'? This new version of Bit Buddy brings some much-needed and requested updates to various areas of the app! Let's dive in. New Features: • New Widgets: Add new devices in a flash with the new Quick Add widget and view your devices with the new Devices widget! Great names, right?! • New Icons: Sticking with the theme of every update, this version also brings three new alternate icons to choose from, Gold, Duotone Green, and Summer. General Improvements: • Navigation: Tips and Settings have moved! Tips can now be found at the top of Home and Settings by clicking on 'Bit Buddy' at the top of Home. • Better Sorting: We've heard your feedback and made list sorting persist across app sessions, resulting in less of a need to click that pesky button! • Location Editing: You can change your device's physical location when editing a drive. Sorry for the delay! • UI Improvements: The appearance of certain elements should be better optimized to fit your screen. We also trimmed a lot of the fluff from previous versions, resulting in a much cleaner experience. Bug Fixes: • As with every update, we've torn up some walls and found a decent amount of bugs within. New Features: • Widgets: View your device statistics on your home screen with our beautiful new Stats Widget! • Open Address: If you have a network device logged with a valid web address, Bit Buddy will now let you open it directly from within the app! • Maintenance Reports: Keeping up with your drives is only one part of the battle. The other is maintenance! Now you can log maintenance specific to each device! • App Icons: We have two new icons ready for use - Earth Day and Blue Chevron (inspired by Clear To-Do)! • App Icon Submissions: Send alternate icon designs directly to us! • For iPad Users: Tips are now available!
