BlindScale is a weight tracking app that uses no numbers, just a line that shows the last two weeks of your weight trend. It is designed to fight unhealthy weight change behaviors and associations. When you weigh in using a HealthKit compatible smart scale, BlindScale takes in those measurements, uses one of three algorithms to smooth out bumps, and forms an analysis of your rate of change. This is then displayed to you like a speedometer, where less is left and more is right. (Put another way, if your goal is to lose, left means too fast and right means too slow. If your goal is to gain, left means too slow and right means too fast. It may seem confusing at first but give it a try, think of it like a speedometer on a car.")
BlindScale is specifically engineered to help your mental health during weight management while still empowering you with fact based data:
* I will NEVER reveal your weight to you, but I'll use it in my math
* No numbers, no dates, no milestones, no awards, no social... simple. Quiet. Calm.
* Left and right instead of scary up and down
* Smoothing algorithm that isn't reactive, it takes days for it to slowly change directions
* Reset button lets you immediately restart tracking from NOW if you'd like to erase the past and start fresh today (as many times as you want!)
