Version 2.0 is a complete rebuild of Book Progress from the ground up. The original app was a simple page counter. This version is a full reading tracker, journal, and companion — rebuilt with an entirely new design and all-new functionality. Here is everything that is new: FULL BOOK LIBRARY Build and manage your personal reading library. Search for any book by title and import it automatically with cover art, author, and page count. Add books manually or enter details yourself. Filter your library by status — Not Started, Reading, or Completed — and sort by title, author, progress, or date added. Switch between grid and list layouts. READING SESSIONS Log every reading session with a start and end page. Book Progress tracks your pace, shows how many pages you read in each session, and records the date and time. Build reading streaks and watch your history grow over time. AUDIOBOOK SUPPORT Track audiobooks by hours and minutes instead of pages. Log listening sessions the same way you log reading sessions. Progress is calculated by time, and all stats and notes work exactly the same as for any other book. NOTES AND JOURNAL Capture thoughts while you read. Add notes in four categories — General, Quote, Thought, or Question — each linked to a specific page or timestamp. View your recent notes from the book detail screen, or open the full notes view to see everything you have written for a book. RATINGS AND REVIEWS Rate any book on a five-star scale and write your own personal review. Your ratings and reviews are stored privately on your device. No account required. TAGS Add custom tags to any book to organize your library your way. Filter and group by tag across your entire collection. COLLECTIONS Create custom collections and add any books from your library. Group books by series, genre, challenge, mood, or any other way that makes sense to you. DISCOVER TAB Browse this week's New York Times Fiction and Non-Fiction bestseller lists from inside the app. Each book shows cover art, author, and a description. Tap once to add any book directly to your library. READING STATS A full statistics view gives you an overview of your reading habits — total books read, total pages turned, current and longest reading streak, average pages per day, and a visual reading calendar showing every day you read. HOME SCREEN AND LOCK SCREEN WIDGETS Five new widgets are included in this update: - Currently Reading: shows your current book and progress - Reading Streak: your current streak at a glance - Recent Notes: your most recently added note - Quick Stats: pages read and books completed - Last Session: details from your most recent reading session BOOK FORMATS Track any format — Hardcover, Paperback, Mass Market Paperback, Kindle, EPUB, Audiobook, and over twenty additional digital and physical formats. COVER ART Book Progress automatically fetches cover art when you search for a book. You can also fetch or update covers for books already in your library at any time. BULK ACTIONS Select multiple books at once and apply actions in bulk — add tags, remove tags, delete books, or move books between collections. EXPORT AND IMPORT Export your full library as a JSON or CSV file and save it or share it anywhere. Import library files shared by others. Your data is always fully portable and yours. ONBOARDING A new onboarding flow walks you through the app on first launch so you can get started quickly. PRIVACY No account is required. No data is sent to any server.
