Choose a name, select a category (Trip, Event, House, Utility, or Other), pick your currency, and add a custom photo. Whether it's a weekend getaway, monthly rent, or a dinner party, get started in seconds. INVITE MEMBERS YOUR WAY Share your group using a secure 6-digit code, QR code scan, or shareable deep link. Members join instantly and all expenses sync in real-time. You can even add placeholder members for people who haven't joined yet - they'll automatically inherit their expenses when they sign up with the same email. ADD EXPENSES WITH FLEXIBILITY Record who paid and choose how to split the cost with four powerful splitting methods: - Equal Split - Divide evenly among selected members - Unequal Split - Set custom dollar amounts for each person - Percentage Split - Allocate by percentage (e.g., 60/40) - Share Split - Divide by ratios (e.g., 2:1:1 shares) AUTOMATIC BALANCE CALCULATION BuddySplit continuously calculates who owes what using smart debt optimization algorithms. The Member Balance Dashboard shows exactly where everyone stands financially. RECORD PAYMENTS & SETTLE UP When someone pays their share, record it with payment method, date, and optional notes.
