The world's checkers, in one app.
Checkers Lab lets you play checkers under multiple international
rule sets. Each variant has its own piece movement, capture
obligations, and king behavior — switch between them on the same
board.
[Main Features]
■ 9 Rule Variants
American / UK, Russian, International, Brazilian, Italian,
Spanish, Pool, Thai, German
Faithful implementation of each variant's unique rules, including
backward captures, mandatory maximum capture, huffing, and the
flying king. Supports both 8x8 and 10x10 boards.
■ Game Modes
Human vs Human / Human vs CPU (AI strength adjustable from 1 to 15)
■ AI Support
Tap the icon at the bottom-left of the board during a game to have
the AI suggest your next move. Thinking level is adjustable from
0 to 15 in the System tab (set to Off to disable).
■ Rule Details
Board size (8x8 / 10x10), piece count, first move, and capture rules
are all configurable in-app.
■ Board Customization
Choose from multiple board palettes, piece palettes, and animation
styles.
■ Legal Move Hints
Off / Dots / Arrows (selected piece only / always shown)
■ Evaluation Graph
Real-time display of the AI's evaluation. Expandable to full width.
■ Move List
Move history shown in PDN notation (e.g., 11-15, 20x11) with
thinking time for each move.
■ In-Game Controls
Hint (AI suggests your next move) and Undo (revert to your last turn)
■ Input Modes
Switch between drag and tap controls.
■ Board Effects
Move animation, capture rings, landing effects, last-move highlight,
and board rotation when playing as Black.
■ End of Game
Result screen shows the outcome (White wins / Black wins / Draw).
■ Privacy
No personal information is collected or transmitted. All settings
are stored locally on your device. See the System tab in the app
or our Privacy Policy for details.
We will continue to expand the number of supported rule variants.
