A round of fixes and refinements. Getting started is smoother: the first run now takes you somewhere, and the setup screens read properly at every text size. Large PGN files open much faster, and very large game archives are flagged clearly instead of slowing the app down. Plus smaller layout fixes on compact screens and at large text sizes.

Your daily review list now holds still. It is decided once, at your reminder time, and no longer grows while you work through it: lines you finish come off the list, and nothing new appears until the next day. On small screens, the page of a line now scrolls when it needs to. The training buttons stay reachable at any text size, including the large accessibility sizes.

More room on small screens. On iPhone SE, opening a line left the training buttons below the edge of a page that does not scroll, so there was no way to start. The move list is shorter there now, the board keeps its full size, and White, Black and Play vs Computer are all within reach. The guide is clearer about hints: on a Chessnut board the destination square lights up, and on the board on screen it is highlighted.

Small screens are welcome again. On iPhone SE and other short screens the home screen now fits, so loading a PGN or importing a folder is right there instead of below the edge. Import from folder: you can search for a repertoire and still see the button that adds it. Search, tick, add. Your library also marks a file with its source and its attachments the moment you set them, without waiting.

Your repertoire stays put. Edit a PGN outside ChessFlow - add a line in another app, or take one out - and the file keeps the colour you play it as, and stays in the section where you filed it. When a critical position will not come to you, you can now ask to be shown the move. Play it yourself and carry on, instead of leaving the session to get past it. The library also shows at a glance which files carry a source, so you can see what you have filled in without opening them one by one.

ChessFlow now explains itself. A new guide, "How ChessFlow works", covers how a PGN becomes lines, why a line comes back for review, and what the drill actually practises. You will find it behind the (i) on the home screen, or as the first row of Settings. A repertoire file can also record where it came from - the course, book or coach, with a link when there is one - and hold two attachments instead of one.

Resetting the progress of an opening now really clears it, on every device you use. Scores, training dates and critical positions for those lines start from zero again, and stay that way.

You can now hide a line you do not want to train. Hidden lines disappear from your repertoire and are never brought up for review, and you can bring them back at any time with their progress intact. Your PGN file is never modified. Your training progress now stays in step across your iPhone and iPad.

Nothing to review? You can now practice a random line from your repertoire, right from the review screen. The daily reminder is clearer, and no longer shows a count that could be out of date on a device you had not opened in a while.
