The training begins with simple word pairs, where you listen to a word and choose the correct option from four possible answers. As you progress and demonstrate success, the exercises become increasingly challenging. You'll transition from words to sentences, and the background noise level will gradually increase to simulate real-world listening environments. We intentionally include nonsensical sentences to ensure that context does not aid in completing the sentence, thereby sharpening your listening acuity.
CI Trainer is compatible with all Apple devices, including iPhones, iPads, and Macs, making it convenient for you to train anytime, anywhere. While CI Trainer is not a substitute for practicing with a partner, it serves as an excellent alternative for those who may not have regular access to a practice partner. The app is developed with insights from professionals specialising in cochlear implant rehabilitation, ensuring that it meets the specific needs of users.
Our advanced AI technology generates an endless variety of training sessions, so you never have to worry about repeating the same exercises. To achieve optimal results, we recommend practicing for at least three months. CI Trainer offers ten levels of training, starting with level one for beginners and progressing to level ten, which presents a challenge even for individuals with normal hearing.
