This version brings one of our top feature request, Scrolling screenshots! It also brings a new view that better showcases all Zight features in one go, making them easier to discover. Features • Scrolling screenshots to let users capture long pages: Email threads, web pages, etc. Already available on Chrome, this feature is now on Mac and will be on Windows shortly. You will be greeted with an onboarding the first time they open the feature • Sequoia compatibility. We tested the app with the new macOS version, which came out on September 2024! This brings to users a new system level popup that will be shown to users every month and needs to be accepted for Zight to function properly. • Get notified when your microphone doesn’t produce any sound, hence saving you from doing a sound-less recording! We are thrilled to announce a brand new version of Zight for Mac! - We updated the interface, moving any non-important actions out of the way, making it quicker to see your available options. - We are adding a new “quick preview” option after capturing your content, which instantly lets you take actions on your screenshots. - No more sound-less videos with our new warning added in ZIght for Mac. We now detect if your microphone is muted (happens if you mute/unmute it often in between videos) or no sound was detected coming from your microphone. New: - removed the automatic enabling of “do not disturb” when recording in our Mac App Store version. - Restart recording feature!! When performing a recording, things may happen and you may want to start over, you can now access a convenient “Restart” button on the menu bar when recording fullscreen or in the list of actions when doing a select region. This will immediately cancel the current recording and start a new recording with the same parameters as the current recording. Note that if you move your webcam while recording, we may not always remember the position. This will be improved in our next release. - When setting up Zight for the first time, Camera and fullscreen is now the default selection. - Updated our preferences panel UI - This version also brings better Sonoma compatibility. This release is is a fairly small one. We took some time to address some issues that were affecting your experience using CloudApp! Here's a quick list of what's included: - Fixed an obscure issue where Slack channels would duplicate on our Share to Slack module. - Upgraded the drag and drop experience on our Annotate module so you can share your annotations more easily. - GIFs should no longer play at a higher speed than the one they were recorded at. - When you're recording your beautiful face using our app, you can now choose between mirrored and natural display modes. - A bunch of code has also been cleaned.
