Subtitles now appear - and films can be scrubbed. Two faults in the playback engine are fixed. Both were completely silent - no crash, no error message - which is why they lasted as long as they did. SUBTITLES did not appear on iPhone, iPad or Mac at all, whatever the language or format; on Apple TV only plain tracks worked, and styled ones stayed invisible. Two separate faults were behind that. The engine had been built without a font provider, so styled subtitles were decoded and then simply not drawn - on every device. And on iPhone, iPad and Mac the subtitle layer was never created in the first place, which took the rest with it. Both are fixed. They still do not appear in Picture in Picture: that small window mirrors the video layer only. SEEKING inside most films froze the picture for a few seconds and then threw the film back to the start. Every jump sent the sound track to the beginning of the file, and playback then crawled back towards your position. Dragging the slider, tapping +10s and resuming a film all land straight away now. And if a film does stall, it reconnects where it stopped instead of starting over. Also in this release: - The bar at the bottom is no longer a black strip when no ad was delivered, and an ad already on screen is no longer thrown away every time you start a video. - Apple TV: the audio track list is always shown, repeated ten-second skips add up correctly, search finds names written with capitals or accents, and results are no longer squeezed into three lines. - A purchase that fails now says so instead of doing nothing. - A wrong or expired transfer code is reported at once instead of after a long wait. Cobi Player Pro removes all advertising.

Ads now follow your own choice. Version 1.0 always requested generic ads, even from people who had just agreed to personalized ones - your answer was collected and then ignored. That is fixed. This version asks once whether tracking is allowed, and then respects what you picked. Decline, or ignore the prompt, and nothing about the app changes: ads simply stay non-personalized, exactly as before. Also in this release: - The banner is larger. - The full-screen ad before a video appears at most every 30 minutes, and after every fifth start with at least five minutes in between. - Ads no longer stay blank after a failed load. Cobi Player Pro removes all advertising - and with it both prompts.
